Rowdy Old Time Parlour Music!

About Me

The Dickel Brothers are a bunch of misfits trying there best not to fit in. The band started sometime in the 90's(god knows when exactly) and has had eight members over the years settling on the current lineup of four. We wield an Axe, Fiddle, Banjo and the enormous Banjo Bass. The type of music we play is of the older variety that you might find on vinyl, shellac and yes even wax. We call it Old Time Music. The kind of music you might listen to on the radio in the 40's and even earlier on an old Gramophone in the parlour. It was also played by the common folks themselves. Homemade music. Some tunes are handed down and some are from old sheet music. We don't write much of the music we play, but we have done so in the Past. We are Currently playing in and around Portland, Or and hope to put a new record out this winter. We hope to see you at an upcoming show and be prepared to shake a foot. We'll roll the carpets back for you.
