KSUB is Seattle University’s student radio station. It's available around the world at www.ksubseattle.org and on campus at 89.1FM and 1330AM.
KSUB serves as Seattle U's source for SU news, entertainment and information. Not only does KSUB serve the campus and the world by bringing you great college radio with today's best music in genres ranging from metal to indie rock to hip hop to country, but we also bring you the latest news and information about SU and other events and happenings.
In addition to brining you great content, we also work with SU and local organizations to get the word out about great things going on around town. If you're an SU organization looking to promote your organization or event, feel free to post your info here. If you'd like to get an announcement on the air, contact our Promotions department at .
KSUB was founded in 1994. Since then, the station has grown from a fledgling broadcast to hosting campus wide FM and AM signals, as well as an online web stream. Fundraisers and equipment donations have put the station where it is today—as a media source to over 5,000 students and a respected friend of both independent artists and major music labels, such as Sub Pop and Columbia.
DJs at the station are all registered undergraduate and graduate students of Seattle University. Shows range from a specialty of genres, call-in requests, talk shows, and news. In addition to the newest CDs, KSUB hosts a large collection of classical music from the estate of the late Seattle composer and longtime Columbia Record salesman, Jack Graves. The station also works with campus groups to broadcast special events, such as sports games or debates. What's more, heavily involved DJs are able to play music for campus events and may assist in the planning of concerts. In the past, KSUB sponsored small shows on Seattle University featuring bands like AVEO and Death Cab for Cutie.
Currently, KSUB’s station is located in the basement of the Campion Residence Hall, next to its partner-news outlet, The Spectator newspaper.Add KSUB as a friend! Email: [email protected]
