Puddle of Blood was formed in Mid-2003 after POB was throughly disgusted with the corporate music scene. They claim to have gotten tired of sitting on their asses bitching about Music, and start a movement against it. Grave Humper and Hell Razor wrote a few tracks experimenting with Industrial Rock, Horrorcore, Dancehall, Comedy and Rap. The result was a shocking mockery of mainstream culture that they claim to have pioneered called "Hate Hop".
[When we (B4 Records) asked them what "Hate Hop" was about, all they had to say was "We hate everything equally, nothing is sacred, we are here to obstruct the mainstream".]
After submitting thier demo to B4 Records, they brought in "Gut Ripper" to help hype up the project. Now 3 members strong they somehow convinced Mike E. to let them do a song on B4 Records called "Devils Night In Detroit". Mike was so happy with the results that he signed the act to his new B4 Records:Edge label. The trio worked lazily at creating some rather obscure tracks, and then surprisingly added a 4th member to the project. Johnny Lobodomy showed up every now and then to add some of his special talents to the music.
The groups debut "The 666th Symphony" will see release in Spring 2004, and is said to be filled with an astounding 66 tracks. From what I've heard of the results of this CD, i can assure you that it's obnoxious humor will leave you amused and confused. The CD seems to come off as more of an eloborate slap in the face then a musical composition. I asked POB how they think the CD will be recieved and this is what they have to say "Most people are part of the joke, those people will hate us. But thats good cuz haters need love too, and thats what Hate Hop is all about. We will provide society with something they can get pissed off about, then were gonna laugh at them."
April 2004 B4 Records:edge decided to put "The 666th Symphony" on hold indefinately, for presently undisclosed reasons. After a few rather amusing drug binges" The forming members got off their lazy asses and started performing the material. The shows went so horrible that they decided to kick start the project and look for other means to release "The 666th"
After a few months of harrassment they convinced the executive brass at Black Thirteen Records to check out the Comedy Stylings of "the 666th"
After a short deliberation they agreed to release the CD since it has 2 songs Produced by Detroit Mad Man Mike E Clark.
