About Me

~~Who am I~~ Good Question. Not so easy to define. Do we really ever know exactly who we are? I can tell you that every day brings about new challenges, circumstances, and moments that continue to build my character. I am a very independent woman. I often wonder why others view independence as a negative character trait. Let it be not misunderstood that no-one goes through life without any help. I truly feel that others are placed in our lives for reasons and seasons. I believe = Independence is taking and accepting full responsibility for where you are in your life. We have all been dealt hands some with a mix of bad and good. It isn't the hand we are dealt that matters but how we choose to play it. I have been in places in life I could not have possibly have made it without the help of friends and loved ones. I have chosen not to live in my circumstance and move forward in life. I am not happy being complacent or standing still. Again this is my choice. I also chose not to throw stones at others and live my life to its fullest. I too have made mistakes in my journey but I have asked for forgiveness and I have learned to LET GO. With God's help everything is possible. I treat my life as if it is important because it is, to me. I value communication but when it is constantly negative and continues to emotionally drain me I choose not to let it be apart of my life. Its not that it isn't heard, it is just not what I choose to focus on. I am an independent, educated, bright, vibrant, single, woman and mother. I choose not live my life according to others ideals or stereotypes of me. Most importantly I feel life is a continual lesson and journey. I have chosen to embrace each day and make as many memories along the way that I can. ~~About me~~ I am a single mother of two beautiful boys. I graduated May 2007 with my Bach and Dbl major in Psych and Crim Justice. I ultimately want to become a Criminal Profiler, Detective, or a Special Agent. I have a very active lifestyle. I love to workout/run 5 days a week and I love to volunteer my time for non profit organizations (when I am not taking the boys to there sporting events.) I value honesty and communication in all relationships. My everyday goal is to treat others with respect and to make them feel loved and cared for, even if it is with my smile. I constantly strive to make a difference in others lives, not by my deeds or my words, but by simply being who I am. (just me) I wouldn't trade my life for anything. I am very blessed.

Heroes:

Most importantly GOD. ~~I belive a hero is defined in the eyes of its beholder. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the men and women who would and do make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Through their dedication and unswerving bravery saving the lives of others, they have distinguished themselves as true heroes. ~~This includes: all of our service men...(overseas and at home)AND the ones who fight the battles in our streets everyday!

Reflection

Does the moon know it reflects the sun? Does it have to do anything to capture the sun's light and throw it our way? Does it work at this? No, it only has to stand in the sun's light. Most of the time...
