About Me

My pirate name is: Black Mary Kidd
Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

What vampire would you be? Forgotten Vampire of The Night
You are such a good person! You always follow the rules. You've become greater then humans, but still feel as one and will do all in your power not to become a menace.
I currently live in a little house in Hipperholme, Halifax. The area in which I live resembles that of Royston Vasey from the League of Gentlemen, although I have been there almost a year, I rarely see my neighbours apart from Gypsy Mick who lives in a trailer up the road!!
I have a fella who I love to bits called Jamie. We've been together over a year now and he's such an amazing person. He's in a band called 'The Symptom' with three other great guys; Guy, Olly and Scotty. Check them out by clicking on the banner below or visiting their website www.thesymptom.co.uk;
I currently work for JobCentre Plus.
I drive a little blue Fiesta called 'Bertie'.
I've been a vegetarian since I was 9 years old.
I collect pigs!!!! (Not real ones, of course, although I think that would be pretty coooooool!)
I'd love to see a bit more of the world, there's so many places I'd love to go to; including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Italy and America, so I plan to tackle a majority of them as soon as I get the chance (and enough cash!).

My Interests

I play the piano, I completed Grade 8 when I was 18 so I'm just trying to keep up to scratch with it now, bit difficult at the moment as it won't fit in my house so it's living with the parents at present! Oh yeah, I also completed Grade 7 violin aswell but unfortunately haven't played it for years!

I love going to various gigs and festivals. I've been to four festivals in 2007; Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium (this is most definitely by far the best one I've ever been to!), Bloodstock Open Air, Damnation and Black Winter Day 3. This year I planned to go to Wacken in Germany but stupidly left it too late and now it's sold out! (Gutted!) but I've just bought tickets to Bloodstock again and also Hellfest in France which are both going to be awesome!

I also like going out on a weekend night to catch up with my mates and stuff who I don't get chance to see much during the week.

I love going to the gym, it's a real stress relief, but haven't been able to afford it lately (Thus, cutting down the pies!)

Oh yes and...... VAMPIRATES!!!!!!! (this is a cross between pirates and vampires incase you didn't know) I've got a bit of an obsession with pirates since the Pirates of the Caribbean films came out. They rock!

I'd like to meet:

The rest of Chimaira, in particular Mark Hunter, Phil Anselmo from Down (previously Pantera), Johnny Depp (preferably dressed as Jack Sparrow! Haha) and many, many bands although I wouldn't have a clue what to say to any of them!

Any new faces, I love meeting new people when out on the town, it's great! Some of my greatest friends have been founded through this route, I find it's often the best way!

..

Music:

I can appreciate most types of music but my one particular all time favourite has to be Metal!!!!! Particular favourites are Children of Bodom, Pantera, Cradle of Filth, Korn, In Flames, Chimaira, Devildriver, Dark Tranquillity, Cthonic, Amon Amarth, Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Turisas... the list is endless and ever growing!!
I love Amorphis' song 'House of Sleep', I got into this band after purchasing a Monsters of Metal DVD so thought I'd attach a few of their music vids;

Movies:

Any horror movies, in particular the cheeeeeeeesey old ones that you can laugh at ('In the Woods' and 'Demons' are classics!!)

....and obviously, it goes without saying that all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean films are the best ever!!! Pirates rule!!!

Television:

Any comedy sitcoms, favourites include; Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder, The League of Gentlemen, The Office, Extras, The Mighty Boosh and probably many more I can't think of at the moment.

Oh and of course, Footballers Wives! You can't beat a bit of over-dramatic cheese!

Books:

Again, anything horror; James Herbert, Stephen King, Nikki French, Richard Laymon etc. I've still yet to read the latest Vampirates 'Blood Captain' book which I haven't got around to purchasing as yet.

I've also just recently finished a Johnny Depp biography which was quite interesting....

Heroes:

Pirates! All of them!

Also my mates who have been there for me when I've needed them most, inparticularly Sarah and Nicky, cheers guys!
