About Me

Landfill Productions was originally formed by a group of writers who met on a course at West Yorkshire Playhouse. They decided to put together a regular event that would provide a platform for new writing in Yorkshire and allow local writers to showcase their work. Landfill events now provide the perfect outlet for quirky, humorous and intelligent theatrical writing to be performed in front of live audiences.Landfillâ€™s unique brand of entertainment combines short theatre pieces, comic sketches and flash fiction into an evening of rapid fire entertainment. Production and sets are minimalist by design with music also incorporated to form an evening of humorous, stimulating and thought provoking entertainment.Landfill events provide a great opportunity for actors to perform in front of appreciative audiences in a great venue. The Landfill team are currently exploring various partnership opportunites with creative individuals and groups as they strive to maintain a fresh and diverse approach to live performance.

Sounds Like: Actors Sought: We are looking for Leeds-based actors to join the Landfill Team. Must have some experience of or interest in acting and be committed to attending rehearsals. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer payment at present but we have a bimonthly spot at a fantastic venue and an appreciative audience and think that joining Landfill could open up exciting opportunities for new and returning actors.Call Out For Bands: Part of our evening features live music.
