About Me

Hey, I’m Rob, and I’m from Enfield in North London, although for most of the live year I live in Loughborough, where I’m in my last year of studying English at the university there. Before you ask, Lufbra (as us students spell it!) is in Leicestershire – nobody ever seems to have a clue where it is, so if you knew that already then you’re probably smarter than even the President of the United States. Then again, even if you didn’t know that, you’re still probably smarter than the President of the United States…
I’m passionate about a load of things: cricket, football, art, travelling, reading, writing, and music. I love Lufbra so much, and that’s mainly down to the great mates I’ve made there, and also working on the student magazine, Label, for which I’m both Deputy Editor and Music Editor. I've also written gig reviews and features for Play magazine (now Reverb), and I want to follow a career in journalism professionally when I graduate. As that’s only a year away now I’m starting to think (and occasionally worry!) more and more about how exactly I’m going to find a job… the next twelve months will be interesting to say the least! Although I write mainly about music at the moment, I’d be more than happy to cover current affairs or sport, and in the past I’ve done work experience weeks at NME, Hayter’s Sports Reporting Agency, The Times and The Daily Mail.

My Interests

I don't really find any time for art any more, but I thought some of my efforts from a while ago might brighten up my space a bit anyway!(CLICK TO ENLARGE)Thankfully my photography is a little less time consuming, so I've done more of this lately....but above anything else "It's indie rock and roll for me!"

I'd like to meet:

Well, U2 would be a good start...

Johnny Borrell from Razorlight signing my poster!

Meeting Bjorn from Razorlight with my mate Mitesh!

Meeting England fast bowler Simon Jones!

With Annie and Micah from Giant Drag after interviewing them - pity I appear to be chortling like a pig but never mind :-D

At least I look a little more composed with Kate from the Long Blondes:
