About me:Coda: part clown, part wise man, part guardian, part slave to my own appetites. My ancestry: Husky, English Mastiff, and Grey Wolf.
When I was a younger guy I lived a very free and exciting life in the Vermont woods. I spent most of my time with my very best friend and mate, Namus who was the same size as me (I'm 120 pounds). We used to roam around together, disappearing for days on end, mooching meals, checking out deer carcasses and invading composts. Namus was an older woman so she showed me the ropes, so to speak. (For instance she showed me how to be at Goddard College at 6pm sharp to beg for dinner from the hippy-art students). We were separated when my Mama and I went out to Seattle together, but right before Namus died we were able to see each other one more time and check out the local woods together. I still become alert and whimper a little at the mention of her name....
I have done many things in my life - I have traveled cross country twice, in an airplane and in a VW bus, lived in the city, lived in the country, jumped out of windows (2nd story and 3rd story) and over fences because I hate to be confined and I really hate feeling lonely.
When I was young, I was a real bad ass. I've been "cuffed and stuffed" several times, having run away and been picked up downtown. I've been very comfortable moving about on my own as I am very intelligent, wild, and wiley but they always seem to pick me up and bring me somewhere that my Mama can find me (I was usually happy to be found). Once a Federal Expres driver brought me home in their truck (I was Fed-Exed, so to speak). I wasn't just a hustler, I was a fierce warrior and in my younger days as King no one could take me down. Not even the time that these two huskies tried to tag team me with the encouragement of their caretaker - I whipped both of their asses. One time a local rival attacked me while I slept on my porch - I kicked his ass too and he limped home yelping.
Don't get me wrong, though, in truth I was a gentle giant and in my older years I became a really sweet, snuggly, stay-at-home kind of guy leading a quiet life of laying on my futon and relaxing. I still got fresh - for instance I went in the garbage outside sometimes, and I valued my freedom. I went to the park every morning and to the beach in the afternoon), and I lived to celebrate my 13th birthday.
Thanks for your visit.
