Music:

i'm all about the lyrics primarily, then the beat comes in at a distant second. i'm matchbox 20 and lifehouse at heart. A mix of Eminem, Train and U2 in the head. A bit of Metallica, Depeche Mode, New Order and Audioslave around the edges.

i also listen to a bunch of anime music here and there even though i have no clue what anyone's saying. probably one of the few exceptions to my affinity for songs with solid lyrics.
New Order's "True Faith" is still the best song ever.

Movies:

i guess i'm something of a movie geek. movies are my escape from work and everyday stress. one of the few times i can actually turn my mind off, i love being able to just soak in a different reality when i get a chance.

when i can, i watch: heroes, smallville, the food network, the discovery channel and yes... so sue me... sometimes the history channel.
"when i can" meaning next to never.
most tv programming is crap anyways.

Books:

chances are you would fall asleep just reading the TITLES of the books i read. i do. sometimes.
"ender's game" is still one of my favorites.
i'll admit to it- comic books are my mythos.

Heroes:

George Washington, John Adams, Ben Franklin... that whole posse that started the Revolutionary War. Jacques Cousteau, Gandhi, Colin Powell, policemen, firefighters, my mother and father, Superman, Batman, Marv, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and my left nut.
