On Tuesday 1 August 1944 began the most heroic and
tragic event of my city, and maybe of all history of Poland.
Warsaw's uprising perm 63 days and take 200 000
victims on the polish side. All this people gave their live,
because they wanted live in free country
not under occupation of Germans or USSR. Russians offered
military help, but when uprising started, they stopped on anotherside of river Wisla, and just were waiting...
After 63 days Polish soldiers and civilians surrender.
In time of uprising, and after that everyone: men, women and
children, were bestial killing by Germans and Ukrainias from SS
brigade RONA. Soldiers fighting in uprising were mainly
very young, so in this event died root of polish intelligence....
Now only 20% from people living in Warsaw are indigenous
residentsof this city. I am one of them, so this, and memory of 63 days from 1944 are last reasons, that I live here.
