DEHUMANIZED, formed in the fall of 1995 by Rich Nagasawa (guitar) George Torres (drums) and Mike Palacios (guitar), recorded their first demo entitled "Terminal Punishment" after only 2 months of steady rehearsals. After recording the demo DEHUMANIZED added vocalist Mike Zuzio (vocals) to the line-up and they quickly began playing shows in the New York area opening for such acts as SIX FEET UNDER, IMMOLATION, CANNIBAL CORPSE and BRUTAL TRUTH. The momentum the band began to pick up was slowed with the departure of Mike Palacios and Mike Zuzio but, to keep the train rolling, DEHUMANIZED added guitarist Dave Zatuchney to take over the guitar duties for Palacios. Shortly after getting Zatuchney (and playing without a bassist) they recruited bassist Mike Chan as well as vocalist Jerry Barco and continued playing all over the New York area. After about a year of duty, Dave Zatuchney and Mike Chan left the band due to musical differences and DEHUMANIZED replaced Dave Zatuchney with guitarist Tom Toscano and started playing live yet again without a bassist.
In the winter of 1997 DEHUMANIZED entered the studio to record their debut CD entitled "Prophecies Foretold". After its release in early 1998 (Pathos Productions) DEHUMANIZED quickly gained a following all over the United States. In the spring of 98 they finally found their last addition to the band Sean Morelli on bass and went on to play the Milwaukee Metalfest, Texas Grindfest, Ohio Deathfest, New Jersey Metalfest and opened for bands such as SUFFOCATION, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE, OBITUARY, VADER, CRYPTOPSY, BROKEN HOPE, MONSTROSITY, NILE etc...
DEHUMANIZED blew up all over the globe with their unique style of pit wrenching slams and destroying grinds but come early 2000 the band decided to split up and each member went on to do their own thing. After a 4-year hiatus, DEHUMANIZED is back and more intense than ever with a new line up that currently consists of founding members Rich Nagasawa (guitar) and George Torres (drums) and new members Paul Tavora (guitar), John Collett (vocals) and Mike Hussey (bass). With the new line up DEHUMANIZED will brutalize the underground yet again so prepare yourselves for the insanity to come!
