Liz Robin was created by Élyse Robineault, a passionated songwriter who's made an album of 12 original titles (Sortilège 2006) and several shows and appearances. The open book is her first independent production which she orchestrated as a songwriter, musician, director and producer. This daring EP including five titles was recorded at the Piccolo studio in Montreal, with especially selected musicians for the project, such as Jean-Frederic Lizotte (guitars, violins), Simon Esterez (bass), Jean-Christophe Lizotte (cello) and Mireille Marchal (percussions). It is also the fruit of her association with Jean-Frederic Lizotte, who's not only an extraordinary musician on this vibrating acoustic project, but also the Co-producer. The sound quality was ensured by Manuel Marie (Kevin Parent, Isabelle Boulay) at mixing and Richard G. Benoit (David Usher, Red Hot Chili Peppers) at Mastering. The open book, it is initially a true and felt musical experiment. www.bluetracks.ca/liz-robin
