BIOGRAPHY
Ernest Ryan (aka DJ Wiggles):
Ernest Ryan is the undisputed master of peak-hour mayhem in Portland and throughout the Pacific Northwest. His combined talents as both DJ and Promoter have made his accomplishments unparalleled in his area.
Known for consistently commanding attention when on the decks, this man comes armed with an array of incredible tracks, mind-blowing programming skills, and over a decade worth of professional experience. No stone is left unturned when appealing to his audience; a set can carry from the Deep, Progressive to the Hard and Bangin - whatever he feels the crowd is ready for at the time. Judge Jules, Richard Vission, Irene, Paul Oakenfold, the list goes on - chances are, if they’ve been in the area, Wiggles has played with them. After a short break this summer of 2007, Ernest returned to the forefront of the Portland dance scene. Winter had him playing next to the likes of Paul Van Dyke, Green Velvet, DJ Dan and many more. His spring and summer calendar is currently filling fast. This success and proven ability to perform has led to headlining shows all over the Country - from California to Tennessee. No doubt, Ernest Ryan is primed to deliver his unique style of house to many new and exciting places, be on the look out for him around the Nation.
As a promoter, this mans experiences go back to the mid to late 90’s when he first became involved with the One Tribe Collective of Portland. Towards 2000, he would found the infamous Another Level Productions who successfully focused on bringing the best, previously unheard, talent from around the nation (including Skylab 2000). The following years were hard times for promoters in the Northwest, turn-outs dwindled as the scene came close to vanishing – a majority of the founded promoting company’s went out of business in this time. It was in this time that the now mighty W&F Events crew emerged. For the last 5 to 6 years Wiggles & Friends Events have assisted heavily in re-building Portland’s underground scene. Recent years have brought many successful events from the crew; White On, Release, Dance Of The Dead - which boasted one of the regions largest turn-outs in years, and most recently – Electrofied which was one of Portland’s top events in 2007.
Little doubt lies in the current and future success of “The Best House DJ in America,†Paul Edge of the Outer Limits in London.
