"MADEYE: the only badass-looking-Piss-off-rock-on-beer-drinking-mother-swearin g-stripper-riding-mustache-bearer-metal-shredding band in Ponce!" -Damn DaveBack in the Day: Ponce, P.R., 2002 After many difficulties, dead projects and bad vibes, MadEye was brought to this world to rock your fucking heads off. With Loui Andujar (Vocals/Bass guitar), Nerb Rodriguez (Rhythm guitar), Gabriel (Lead guitar) and Otto Cardona (Drums) the world tasted the metal thrashin’ madness of the Eye. The band rehearsed and played rock full with madness, but everything backfired on us when then drummer, Otto Cardona, decided on quitting the band. He gave us the cheap excuse of "I love you guys but my studies are more important" -bullshit, he abandoned us and broke the brotherhood of MadEye. After Otto’s departure, Gabriel was kicked from the band for not showing up for rehearsals and planning side projects with Otto. The betrayal bullshit left MadEye crumbling into nothingness. Now what?...2003 Loui (Vocals/ Rhythm guitar) took a new approach to playing the good ass metal we were playing before, allowing MadEye to start rockin’ again. By combining the riffs of metal with the speeds of punk, MadEye began writing new material- the band’s power returned.2005- Guitarists Loui Andujar and Nerb Rodriguez joined forces with Jensey Rivera, long time friend and excellent musician. Together they recorded a 3-song demo at Jensey’s studio: Loui and Nerb on guitars and Jensey playing bass and drums. Juan Carlos later came in to fill in on the bass duties. After months of wasted hate, ex-drummer Otto Cardona decided to speak with frontman Loui Andujar. They let some of the demons out of their system and worked out their shit, for the time being. Now that system was no longer failing...they are back in business. With the former members of the Madness, MadEye had a stronger Face, Word and Conscience against society’s bullshit and and the government’s Military Abuse. Their demo was out now on the streets, but new Fuckin’ material was being conjured up. New riffs full of Madly speed, lyrics filled with hate, and the passion of good ol’ thrash baby!!! MadEye was back in business.2006- No Bassist!!, it didn’t take long to find a replacement since life long friend and brother, Jose Alfredo Santiago (Loui’s cousin), stepped up to fill the position. Later that year, Otto decides to quit the band, AGAIN!!! Learning from their past mistakes, this time the band moved forward in order to find a new drummer, one capable of making MadEye Stronger and Heavier than ever. That man is no other than Dust’s Tony Isidro.April 2007- Nerbert (lead guitarist) ceased to be a Mad member. He was kicked out for his lack of commitment to the band and to his instrument (we still love ya’ man). The empty slot left by Nerb was filled in May 2007, when a new lead guitarist joined the legacy of MadEye, one truly capable of making our music melodic, heavier and stronger. This good old son of a bitch was no other than our drinking partner Juan Carlos Hernandez (Juanky). Bringing an end to the totalitarianism that had controlled the band’s creative direction, the members of the band worked together in their creation of music. Combining Loui’s aggressiveness and mad riffs with Juanky’s insane melodics and Tony’s brutal beats, MadEye became a fearsome foursome capable of ripping the music scene apart...and so they did...2008- After several weeks of inner struggle and turmoil, bassist Fredo Santiago abandoned his brothers in metal without giving a reason. Taking advantage of their inability to perform publicly, the three remaining members joined forces once again with Jensey Rivera to make a new recording capable of representing the Beast that MadEye had become. The recording is coming to a pair of speakers near you...so beware of the approaching madness. We’re currently looking for a bassist, so if you wanna fill this position feel free to contact us.Remember, "Metal is our bussiness, and bussiness is good". Copyrights 2008 ..
