If I can not bring you comfort, then at least I bring you hope.

About Me

Well let's see. I'm a question wrapped inside an enigma. Get inside of Slave-1 find your homing signal, from Endor to Hoth, Ripley to Spock, I'll find what you want but there's gonna be a cost. I'm the biggest dork in the world, and I will kick anyone's ass who claims differently. I like history and politics and current events and movies and trivia and other esoteric things to degrees one couldn't imagine. I live in stately Book Manor, my new ancestrial home, located deep in the outskits of BF, AL.
Oh yeah! I like comic books, videogames and long discussions on the implications of American Exceptionalism and Pax Americana. And MST3K. Can't ever forget MST3K. Or something? I dunno...words.
In conclusion, "Blarg says I!
RevRaven's Linguistic Profile::
50% General American English
25% Dixie
15% Yankee
5% Midwestern
0% Upper Midwestern What Kind of American English Do You Speak?
Not bad for being born and raised in Alabama.

My Interests

MST3K, Politics, American History, Videogames, Comic Books, Science Fiction, Computers, Networking, Lots and lots of various other dorky things. Like Bash.org , Fark and of course The best page on the Internets .

I'd like to meet:

Joel Hodgson, Optimus Prime, or Kevin "50 Fingers" Smith. I'm no celebrity whore. Although I would love to meet some famous people (like Rick Berman and Brannon Bragga) and just kick the ever loving shit out of them. Ahaha, NERD JOKE.

Music:

Pink Floyd, The Ramones, Nena, Nanase Aikawa, any decent or classic or modern rock that doesn't suck. No whiney music! Nothing pisses me off more than bands full of middle class white American men who are whiney...or even better, angry.
What do all these kids have to be angry about? Their daddy didn't buy them a Mustang when they were 16? Fuckin' posers. Anyways. Some techno's all right. Videogame music rocks my socks, and I have big socks! FM radio sucks balls. AM radio's only good for rightwing talk programs. iWork, iPlay, iPod.
The only way we can stop bad music is not to listen to it. Don't be fooled: Just because it's on the radio doesn't mean it's any good.

Movies:

Everything and everything. I mean, I've seen shitloads of films. I like or atleast tolerate most of them. Except Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer films. Those guys really suck (think Armageddon). But Transformers was pretty decent.
I'm wish that here in the 21st century that our mainstream movies were better. Mindless action and bland scripts does not make a good movie.
Demand better movies. Or I will DESTROY you. Or not.

Television:

Fox News, [adult swim]'s non anime programming, weirdo short films from the Internet and classic episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Television's vastly overrated, but we have HEROES. The first season of Heroes was better than the entire run of like, a fuckload of shows. The season finale was absolutely awe inspiring. Very emotional.

Books:

Lucier's Hammer, Footfall, The Hacker Crackdown, Unconvering Clinton, stuff like that. I mostly read non fiction....wait..you mean like, comics? Oh well! Too fuckin' bad that DC has canceled or killed all the comics/characters I really cared about!

Heroes:

Real People: Ronald Reagan, Winston Churchill and John Adams. Not so real: Optimus Prime, Howard Beale, Clare Bennett, Jack Bauer, Captain James T. Kirk, Major Victory
