About Me

As a boy, I remember once looking around at all the things that made up the world around me and marveling at the fact that man had done so much. I took it all in and thought it over a good bit and it occurred to me that, if the world had been populated only and exclusively by people who were just like me, innovation would have ground to a halt at the very moment that we came upon the hammock.

My Interests

Crossin' all the lines I can without stepping on any toes, simple pleasures, general mischief, dancing till the sun's past up, living (not vacationing) abroad, flirting shamelessly, walking through museums and galleries really fast and only stopping when i see something that truly amazes me, hopping flights on the spur of the moment, talking to the people other people overlook, cafe culture, sub-culture, pop culture, high culture. And fractals are really cool. And grammar structures.

I just listened to the same Postal Service album fourteen times in a row!! I think that means it's a keeper.

The Hagakure, Emergence, Wicked, Life of Pi, Lolita, 1984, The Magus, Love in the Times of Cholera, The Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Platform, The Tipping Point, The Count of Monte Cristo lots o' Chomsky, Vonnegut, Ginsberg, Burroughs... a bit of Nietzsche, Freud, Weber. And dictionaries, I really like 'em.
