About Me

Roses are red, violets are blue
That's what they say, but it just isn't true
Roses are red, and apples are, too
But violets are violet, violets aren't blue
An orange is orange, but Greenland's not green
A pinky's not pink, so what does it mean?
To call something blue when it's not, we defile it
But what the heck, it's hard to rhyme violet.
Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet
And boy what a big tuffet she had!
If you're feeling insecure
Just sit next to her
And then you won't feel quite so bad.

I do call carbonated drinks "pop," but I've never been accused of being from Wisconsin or Chicago.

My Interests

Theatre, music, art, reading.
Hanging out with friends, drinking, getting into those deep discussions that only come about after hours of sitting around drinking wine, beer, or liquor.
Killing time playing games on Yahoo and MSN.

Pretty versatile and can find the fun in just about any activity.

I'd like to meet:

Other people who rock, or who have the potential to rock. If you don't meet these criteria, seek professional help!

Music:

All kinds of music, except rap. I can even take country in small doses. Musicals, classical, opera, punk, classic rock, classic Motown, 80s, the list goes on.

Movies:

Love anything that has some great lines that I can quote at random. Here are a few of my favorites.
Communism was just a red herring!
She turned me into a newt...I got better.
I'm perky, and cute, and popular to boot.
Next time you drink paint thinner I'm just going to leave it in you!
I hate you and your ass face!
I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.
There's only one reason Christian girls come down to the Planned Parenthood...She's planting a pipe bomb?...Ok, two reasons.
Some other favorite movies include Dangerous Liaisons, Shawshank Redemption, most of the Disney animated features up to Aladdin, the old classics like Sunset Boulevard and All About Eve, Star Wars, basically a wide and unpredictable assortment.

Television:

The Simpsons, Law and Order: SVU, Family Guy, Futurama, Crank Yankers, South Park, Reno 911!, Ab Fab, Strangers with Candy, Arrested Development, Nick at Nite, TV Land, Soap, The 4400. Again, another varied and unpredictable assortment.

Books:

Harry Potter, of course, and other classic fantasy series like The Chronicles of Narnia. Stephen King, Anne and Christopher Rice, the collected works of Gregory Maguire (I even liked Lost, though it took a couple readings for the appreciation to develop), E.L. Doctorow (got started on Ragtime and have devoured the rest of his books), classic children's authors like Roald Dahl and L. Frank Baum. I recently started reading David Sedaris and have fallen in love with his writing.
