Alessandro Zaffanella Italian show producer and entertainer has toured with nearly every major musical in Italy, interpreting the leading vocal roles in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Peter Pan,” and “Grease” with La Compagnia della Rancia and Starstruck Productions, to name a few.
After 5 years of touring he produced the “Morethance” show with choreographer Bruna Bazzan. The show became a success and has hit every major square in Lombardia and several prime tv shows.
In 2002 the artist was hosted on the “London Radio Show.” He later began a collaboration with Cherly Porter, Black American Gospel and Soul powerhouse, co-writing the song “to the party now” in conjunction with Airplane Records; the song rose suddenly to the top of the European Dance charts.
Amongst others he has worked closely with the Italian band Los Locos, writing many of their songs and singing background vocals. Zaffanella’s later achievements include working alongside Michelle Hunziker, Swiss-Italian Showgirl, and former wife of Eros Ramazzoti, in the production “Everybody Passionately Together.” In 2007 Alessandro and Michelle would meet again, on Italy’s most lavish stage, the annual world renowned Festival di Sanremo 57th Edition. She was the Presenter of the festival while Alessandro was sand as back-up for Milva, “the show must go on.” (by G. Faletti)
The Festival sparked an eventual collaboration with Singer/Songwriter Ugo Rosano a.k.a Ugo. Alessandro regarded the singer highly noting that he held one of the most substantial and dynamic voices out of the Bevoice vocal group, accompanying Milva at the Festival di Sanremo and later on a promotional tour.
Ugo has been singing since the age of four. In 2005 he toured with his Sicilian group in Windsor, Canada – Boston and New York (USA) and in 2006 after being scouted by American producer Luisa Marino, he returned to perform in a show called “Emigratio” as lead vocalist.
As of yet, he maintains a close collaboration with the well-respected, Carmelo Tartamella, Jazz guitar mogul. The two perform standard Jazz numbers in Italy’s most elaborate venues, and often exhibit with their group, The Swingin’ Quartet. As well Ugo has appeared as guest vocalist for singers like Larry Ray (of the platters) and Kay Foster Jackson.
The musician has won a multitude of awards for his passionate writings. After years of battling with musical bureaucracy in events such as the Accademia della canzone di Sanremo (The Sanremo Italian Song Academy), in which he competed twice, finally Ugo is gradually gaining the recognition he has long awaited. The singer entered the final round of KANTABOX, a new televised talent show in Europe, this fall of ’07 while winning best live performance with his own “free like a child” at the Nave Festival in Brescia.
The final component of 3 to 1 is D. Amis, long-time friend of Ugo. He has written and co-written with Ugo, and sang back-up for the artist on several occasions in the studio, and as well performed with the ensemble at the the 57th Festival di Sanremo. Alessandro’s vision finally fell into place after meeting the two musicians, and together, the group composed the classic ballad “se mi ascolterai” which is in the final stages. Pietro Grazioli of Blue Records, an independent label, is handling the artistic arrangement as the group awaits an executive production.
