Jennie and the Bets formed at a rubbish New Year's Eve party in 2004 and have since released two fizzy EPs, 'Fight Or Flight' and 'I Believe In You' as well as a 7" single, 'Stolen Kisses', on their own fakeindielabel imprint. These releases have cemented their reputation as indie buccaneers with fancy-dan pop sensibilities and seen them likened to "the bastard child of the Cure and Belle and Sebastian". Influences run the full gamut of indie-folk-punk-tweemo bedwetters such as the Violent Femmes, Milky Wimpshake, the Lucksmiths and the Delgados, as well as a whole raft of crap boyfriends and more rubbish parties.
