Transsexuals on a Rampage
The Gastric Slutz are the most acidic force in the music and artistic community today. A digestion, more indigestion, of third-wave feminism, queer theory, transsexuality, anti-capitalism, cultural commoditization, and failed utopia produced a creative diarrhea that is the Gastric Slutz. Formed in 2007, the group has served as an outlet for the heartburn of two revolutionary figures: Gastric Gina (a.k.a. Julez) and Simon Secretion (a.k.a. Devo). Though their relationship began rocky, a feud over the cultural contributions of ABBA that still continues to fester to this day, the duo has begun the process of transforming popular culture. Their first excretion will be a musical album, Sperm Coffin, currently in production. Like all ground-breaking works, the Slutz debut album has had its tribulations. Julez and Devo originally approached singer/songwriter Regina Spektor in April 2007 to collaborate with, added her to band as Gastric (Re)gina. This partnership came to an abrupt end in August of that year after it was discovered that (Re)gina had "ripped off" an idol of the duo, Patti Smith. The painful expulsion of Regina from the Slutz forced Julez and Devo to seek out a more respectable/absurd collaborative partner who shared their same worldview. MiMi, the obese drag-styled sitcom character from “The Drew Carey Show†fit into the group like a dildo in a rectum. Though the release date for the album has not been announced, anticipation has inflamed! There has been a considerable amount of media speculation over their future tour and the flamboyant Kabuki inspired performances that are already being planned...The Gastric Slutz are cumming!
