First and foremost, if you don't like sarcasm...don't talk to me. I cannot tame it. It has a mind of its own.http://www.crystalnichole.com

I recently retired (at least temporarily) from the entertainment industry (explains the pictures and headline, right?)! I dabbled in a bit of everything -- modeling, acting, television, event planning, marketing -- and I was fortunate enough to work with some of today's most powerful leading brands, including Muhammed Ali, American Idol, Chevrolet, Proctor & Gamble, Toyota, MAXIM, Budweiser, IAMS, T-Mobile, Paul McCartney, Discovery Kids Network, Spike TV, Elle Magazine, and SO many more.
Why have I retired from my beloved industry? Well, I have accepted an amazing job with the Red Cross in College Station as a Donor Recruiter. I'm excited to soon begin my new work, and I will have more time for family (including my amazingly wonderful husband) and friends but will still do the work I love!
I am headquartered in College Station, TX; however, I travel throughout the nation on various assignments. After paying off my student loans acquired from my bachelor's degree (from Texas A&M University), I plan to enter law school to study entertainment law.
Things that make me happy:
* Starbucks -- want to get on my good side? Bring Starbucks!
* Caramel -- anything with caramel makes me smile
* Animals -- I hope to one day open a shelter for abused and abandoned animals
* Friends -- though I don't keep many very close friends, the ones I do mean the world to me
* Cars -- win my heart with a car, any car...as long as it doesn't bring my property values down *ahem* Brian
* Photoshoots -- what could be more fun than dressing up and taking pictures??
* Learning -- yes, I'm a big geek at heart with a background in genetics and biochemistry
* Family -- I would be nowhere without their support -- they love me even when I'm not loveable. I am going to soooo miss my little brother, Dustin, when he ventures off to college in Nashville this August, but I am incredibly excited about his opportunity and get warm fuzzies every time I see pictures of recording studios
* Fire -- a warm fire on a cold winter's night (well, as cold as it gets here in the Big T)
* Great Food -- pumpkin pie, ice cream, french fries (my favorite food group), pretty much anything really unhealthy
* Music -- it encompases my life
* Debates -- a good structured argument makes my day
* Thinking -- go figure...someone who really enjoys just sitting there and thinking; I actually LOVE silent car rides...I could (and do) ride in the car in silence for hours
Things I hate:
* Eating sweets after meals
* Stupid people -- those that are completely oblivious to the world around them
* Inconsiderate people -- you're not the only one living on this planet
* Inconsistency -- in a perfect world everything would be predictable (to a degree)...my favorite people (yes, I do have some favorites) in the entire world are ALWAYS very consistent (often times a bit odd but consistent)

My Interests

All that art encompases.

I'd like to meet:

Ron Paul -- 2008

Jesus. I would like to request that he stop sending his people my way.

Music:

Instruments I Play:

Piano
Flute
Clarinet
Violin

My Next Ventures:

Guitar
Drums

Genres:

Any and all

Favorites:

Eminem

Movies:

Okay, this is a tough one for the mere fact that I rent AT LEAST 70 movies a month.

A few of my favorites:

Butterfly Effect
Dead Poet's Society
Elephant
8 Mile
A Beautiful Mind
White Oleander

I like anything that has a deeper meaning. Movies need to make the audience FEEL what the characters feel. If you don't somehow grow as a person, your time was wasted.

Television:

This is where you realize...I'm a geek.

House
The Practice
Law & Order (SUV my fav but I like all)
Boston Legal
Boston Public (yes, definitely a David E. Kelly fan)
Family Guy (f'ing HILARIOUS)
The Simpsons

And anything on:

The Discovery Channel
The Discovery Science Channel
The Discovery Health Channel
National Geographic

Can you tell I'm a Science major yet??

My Blog

Could Life Get Any Better?

All Grown Up

So it's been a while since I've had what other people would consider a real job -- not that I don't work...I work my little butt off.  I've been searching for months for the perfect job, and for ...

Thank you, single-servers

As I sit here and procrastinate studying for my midterms (yet again), I reflect on all of the single-serving friends I have had the wonderful opportunity of meeting in all of my travels.  From th...
