Whats up Maniacs!?! Im sure that there are rumors going on about Method of Friction being "done" THIS IS NOT TRUE!! Method of Friction is not gone. The name has never been put to rest. However, some members have left. This includes, orginal lead vocalist, Paul Brooks.
I have brought Eddie Carpenter, (orginal drummer) back into the fold. Together, him and myself have brought in Ronnie Dixon (formly of "Release") on lead guitars and Ross Hillestad (new face to the area) fronting the band. AND of course, orginal lead guitarist, Andrew Bird. (Who is on leave for now, but we look forward to his return)
The songs you hear playing now are ideas, riffs, break downs and lryics that we have all written as a whole from the orginal members. (The orginal being myself, Eddie Carpenter, Andrew Bird and Paul Brooks) No one person is bigger than the band. This has been said from day one by everyone. Paul wrote most of the lyrics, I wrote my own bass lines, Eddie brought the rhy' of the beat and Bird threw down all secondary guitar riffs. (However, there are more secondary guitar riffs done in the newer songs by M. Robinson). The songs would not be what they are today if all four of us did not put our ideas into them.
I want to take the time to thank every one of our fans for sticking with us and supporting us. If it werent for you, Method of Friction would have been long (and very) gone by now. Eddie, Ross, Ronnie and myself are currently writing new material which will be posted as soon as they are recorded. But for now, heres a message from a guy ya'll havent heard from in a very long time. Andrew Bird!

Hello Fans of Method of Friction and friends alike. I apologize for confusion about the band Method of Friction. No, we are not breaking up, and no Method of Friction is not done making music. We have a power I would like to call The Friction Trinity. We have the music, the band, and the fans. Nothing can stop us from creating good music and foremost staying true to ourselves and to our fans/friends.
We have lost a member, but just like anything in this world when something bad happens it only makes you stronger. This band has seen many trials and tribulations and always overcome. Hence the name Method of Friction. That is what life is, friction, everything in life is a friction point. As usual, we overcome and we will always succeed.
We would never be able to this without our fans and our friends, and we thank all of them for being there to help, and listen, and most importantly...Rock the fuck out.
In conclusion, we just want to remind you that Method of Friction will have a period of transition where we will gain new members, and create new music; but we will never forget the most important thing about rock music. Staying true to ourselves, and staying true to those who listen to us, because if not for you we would not be who we were.
