E. We have a 10 song full length album about to be completed and we want to have a CD release party!! Let us know where you'd like us to play!! All of our old songs (with the exception of Adjacent Acoustic are now downloadable.) This will be the last time that the versions of these songs will be used. Brand new versions and material will be available very soon.

BAND BIO:
Requisite is an alternative hard-rock/metal band from the Los Angeles/Orange County California area composed of 4 musicians/artists of various backgrounds and styles. Dennis Posadas: lead guitar (Filipino), Anthony To: bass guitar (Vietnamese), David Franklin: drums (German/Irish), and Al Qually: vocals/rhythm guitar (Vietnamese/Norwegian).
The band formed in the summer of 2003 with orginal drummer Mark Magcalas (Filipino) and played their first gig together under the name Punk Boogie Odyssey in late August and brought Tapas Restaurant and Nightclub in Newport Beach to maximum capacity. In the beginning the music was more of a hip-hop/punk/ska fusion, but as time progressed so did the music, the focus, and the direction. Since then the band has performed countless gigs all over the LA/OC area, ceremonies, parties, etc., several Filipino cultural/charity events, grand openings for retail outlets, and won four different Battle of the Bands competitions where the last prize claimed in May 2006 was to open up for Cute is What we Aim for, Jacks Mannequin, The Ataris, and E-40 at University of California Riversides Spring Splash Festival.
Currently the band has just finished shooting a video for Conquer, one of the songs off of their original 4-song demo CD featuring original artwork from Mark Magcalas, with Neal Zero of Onyx Eye Films. Preparations for a bootleg/documentary style DVD are taking place and the recording/production of a brand new demo for submission to Maverick Records, Metal-Blade, and Time Warner is underway as well. This opportunity was the grand prize from the Battle of the Bands Finals in Los Angeles presented by Sugar-Light Productions, in 2005. After original drummer Mark Magcalas decided to leave, David Franklin's adrenaline fueled Heavy Metal skills and innovation officially combined with Requisite September 2006.
Requisite is dedicated to upholding artistic integrity through versatility and by promoting self-expression in every shape, form, and fashion. The band, as a group, or any of its members alone will perform wherever it is welcome for the genuine love of music and art.
