My interests could fill a phone book, it's hard to define everything. I love cartoons for their ability to fly under radar, comics for their mixture of art and storytelling. I enjoy writing though I've yet to find a medium. Of course, I worship the silicon God, and speaking of God, I enjoy long philosphical and theological debates and thrill in a knock-down, drag-out over politics. I can't read novels, only text books and the like. Computer programming, Mudding, roleplaying of the Vampire: Masquerade variety. List goes on. Bathing is nice, but only for recreational purposes.
I'd like to meet someone who could stand me and like me for me, a long shot I know. If she were female, that'd also be good. I love women on the full-figured side. Not obese, though I have been down that road, but a woman with curves drives me wild. If she's got a sense of humor, likes to argue and can stand me, she's perfect...

Another endless list. 1920's Jazz like Paul Whiteman, old blues like Leadbelly, stoner rock like Clutch, 70's southern rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Space Age Pop like Esquivel, excellent trumpeteers like Al Hirt and Herb Alpert, goth/classic hybrids like Rasputina, nerd rock like Weezer, even a bit of Klezmer like the New Orleans Klezmer All Stars, virtuoso violin like Paganini, and of course the old school heavy metal like Rob Halford or Iron Maiden, and a bit of a soft spot for old bluegrass like Flatt and Scruggs.
I'm really picky when it comes to movies, a bit of a snob. I find the early and mid 70's was when they seemed to really start getting experimental. An old movie I liked was Gaslight and Twelve Angry Men. I really appreciate broadway plays redone as movies as long as they're adapted well. The Designated Mourner, Death of a Salesman, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (MENDACITY!), Glengary Glenn Ross, The Big Kahuna. I used to be a big fan of the trinity, Coppola/Kubrick.. and I forget the last. Memory escapes me. Anyways, I was also a big fan of the indie trinity, Lee/Tarantino/Soderberg. I've moved away from that a bit, but I still look at the Conversation as a masterpiece, and Tarantino still amazes me at times. Movies that aren't afraid to kill off the protagonist are nice, but usually it's good if they have a reason. Movies adapted from books don't really turn out well, but english actors, Shakespearean actors and movies with great scripts and excellent character actors always inspire me. I appreciate kitsch, like Eating Raoul, Phantom of the Paradise or even the brilliant Buckaroo Bonzai, but idiocy for idiocy's sake never grabbed me. Sometimes, I can't even bear to go to Blockbuster when I know there are good movies out there and they've stopped making them. Thank god for I Love Video.
Television's kind of gone downhill for a while, I avoid networks like the plague. Cable always offers something interesting between sports and shows about sports and shows about shows about sports. And late night softcore porn. I find myself rediscovering my nerd roots, tuning in each day for four hours of Star Trek Deep Space Nine/The Next Generation, but my TV is always on Cartoon Network. Beyond the absolute genius of shows like Sealab, Space Ghost and Aqua Teen, I found that I've come to appreciate all the inside jokes, all the little jabs that fly under the radar, and the comedy gold that cartoons get away with, yet get belittled as child's fare. Bugs Bunny dressed in drag as a valkyrie on a portly horse is great, no two ways about it, and the Rabbit of Seville is always a classic. HBO seems to keep up well with creative productions like Carnivale and Deadwood. I even found myself liking a reality show for crying out loud! Hey, Family Bonds grew on me. And a very wise friend turned me onto Kolchak the Night Stalker, for which I never thanked him. Updated with Battlestar Galactica (Thanks Ehren), Dexter and the Tudors. Gotta love overwraught melodrama!
Novels were never really my thing. I either become disgusted with lack of creativity or jealous of their talent. I stick to odd things, books on theology, philosophy. I have numerous books on the Kabbalah, Islam, hell and such. Roleplaying books are falling apart by frequent reference, and speaking of reference, I find myself reading things like encyclopedias and books on computer programming and economics. I recommend The Great Wave highly, it's interesting to see price fluctuations throughout history. Current reading is whatever is piled around the bathtub at the moment. Needless to say I have many waterlogged books that are frayed at the binding.
When I was young, Albert Einstein always inspired me, but I'm not a physicist, so wherever I had a creative endeavor, I found a new inspiration. Wes Anderson never ceases to amaze me. Scott McCloud and his view on comics is great, as is Art Spiegelman's. I don't need to point out family, as they know how I feel about them. Chuck Jones was a genius who I've admired. Political-wise, it's tough to say. I liked Bakunin, but know too little about him. As you can see, it's tough picking one. I'd say its one of my family, but no need to out them here.
