DEIMOS CDs AVAILABLE at
www.tonevendor.com Loud. Electronic. Rad. Deimos (DEE-mose) is a huge-sounding drum kit, dirty bass, white-hot electric guitar and a couple of synthesizers hammering and swirling in your skull. Since 2000, Sacramento’s Deimos has grown from a programming-heavy duo to a four-man electronic powerhouse, featuring Ben Steinert on vocals/guitar, Sam Place (China White) on synthesizers, Ryan Garcia (Radio Star) on bass, and Jonah Wells (Furniture on Fire) on drums.Deimos could be the undiscovered band that all of a sudden pops onto the scene with radioplay and eventual MTV support. The scary thing is they did all this on a digital recorder by themselves with a shoestring budget.
J-Sin, Smother E-ZineOkay, why isn’t Deimos on a real label? I’m not asking you readers – I’m asking all of you labels out there, because Abort Retry Fail is good, really really good, and probably better than half the albums you’ve issued.
Sara Bir, Section MFrankly, I’m astonished. The words “kick ass†don’t even begin to describe the songwriting and musical talent here.
Cynthia E. Jones, RantSmart enough not to fall into the trap of industrial-metal and sensitive enough to look beyond simple three-chord melodies, Deimos creates music marked with beauty and gloomy self-contemplation
