Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now.

About Me

A bleeder.

My Interests

This profile was edited with Nader's mad html skill .Martial arts: Shotokan karate-do, Aikido, and Kendo; basically anything legitimately Budo. Other interests ranging from the important to the nearly benign exist, so don't be too shy to ask. Spontanious, intrepid convos amid a campfire and jolly, close company... Subsequently, the people I have these conversations with interest me. Some little stuff: Track days. Lonely mountain passes (I like to drive). Philosophy (my major). Law. Theater/Art (should have been my major). Music. Music as a way to get warm. Music as a theory. Music as a socio-cultural phenomena--so i guess some aspects of sociology. I dislike the current apparatus of the institution of psychology with fundamentalistic fury and question the utility of a business degree. I enjoy surfing by myself at 4/5 in the morning rain or shine. Surfing with (a) friend(s). Walking in the rain in my flip-flops. Food (I'm always hungry). The color green. Peanutunk; yes, peanutunk. Blank pieces of paper. Meaningless conversations about [insert subject] that remind me of why you're cool to be around. I don't like romance--ironically hopeless--but I like being romantic--also ironically hopeless. Thinking. And stuff. Sorry, I've become distracted...

I'd like to meet:

Interlocutors. Interesting ones like you.Just stick around please.

Music:

U2, ZEPPELIN (Led), third eye blind, Switchfoot, Dashboard Confessional, Jeff Buckley, Smashing Pumpkins (hmm.. earlier years), Greenday, Coldplay, The Walkmen, Death Cab for Cutie, the Postal Service, anything on the gardenstate soundtrack, Velvet Underground, Metallica, Usher (guy can dance), Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, Trigun soundtrack, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, The Streets (only one song, and only once... I'll never listen to it again), Areosmith, Spoon, Bush, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond (yea shaddap), Talking Heads (big suit people c'mon!), Black Sabbath, New Found Glory, Brian Ferry, Bran Van 3000, Gackt, Eminem, Blink, Yellowcard, Phoenix, Incubus, Malice Mizer, Television Personalities, The Beta Band, Michael Jackson, Moulin Rouge Soundtrack, Phantom Planet, Rooney, Steve Miller Band, Dave Mathew's Band, Joan Jett, The Cure, The Darkness, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolf Parade, The Pixies, Black Flag, Psychedelic Furs, Stevie Nicks, The Wedding Present, The Clash, Stone Roses, SIGUR ROS, Magnetic Fields, Rolling Stones, MODEST MOUSE, UGLY CASSANOVA, BLACK HEART PROCESSION, NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL, The Stooges, Escaflowne Soundtrack, Kill Bill soundtrack, The Breeders, Johnny Cash, Built to Spill, Mest, Ride, joy division, New Order, Modern Lovers, The Replacements, Elliot Smith, Rogue Wave, Jim Caroll Band, Dubtribe, Missing Persons, The Shins, Revolting Cocks, Billy Holiday, Miles Davis, Broken Social Scene, Beck, Mazzy Star, Mozart, a whole genre of music that only one person knows I love and by sheer accident (green eyes, red hair, you know who you are.. fucker), Jin Roh Soundtrack, RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, Bob Marley, I HATE HIM (the band) ...just thought I should say, The Avalanches, PINK FLOYD, Sublime, Cornelius, Soundtrack to Photosynthesis, Mandy Moore (again, shaddap :P), Finch, Cryosleep (internet radio), Gatecrashers Vol. 1 & 2, ROBERT PLANT AND THE STRANGE SENSATION, CAT STEVENS AND ALL OF THAT BOMB HIPPY SHIT. I could go on, I just might at a later time... But for now: yes I probably like it.

Movies:

All the films you like or would like, minus the shitty ones...

Television:

I learned everything I know about the metaphysical, about philosophy, about life, about time travel, and everything you can call knowledge in its materialistic realization from one brilliant television show that is the exemplar of all that humanity should strive to achieve: Pete and Pete!!!

Books:

"The Sword of Truth", Terry Goodkind (Only the first 4 or 5). "The Lord of the Rings", "Unfinished Tales", "The Silmarillion", and basically anything by J.R.R. Tolkien. "Legends of the Drenai", David Gemmell. "The Dragonlance Chronicles". "Simulation and Simulacra" (On Nihilism, good stuff). Anything by David Hume (scottish impericist). Anything by Bertrand Russell (principia mathematica!). Noam Chompsky (read: Hegemony or Survival). I. Calvino. AJ Ayer... epistemology, moral phenomenology. Listened to some lectures in my day including cognitive science guy, Jerry Fodor, talk at the Pomona colleges. I'm currently reading Sphere and just finished High Priest by Timothy Leary (about the Harvard-funded [and completely legal at the time] LSD exploration research he orchestrated in the 60's. Bomb book.) Alduos Huxley's Brave New World and The Doors Of Perception can now be checked off the list.Got lots more...

Heroes:

Artie, the strongest man... In the world... and these guys:haha.
