************************************************************ ************************************************************ *************************** Well, let me start off by telling you my name.... Joseph Kiley Harville, born in Odessa, Texas in 1978. I reside in Giddings, Texas, which is about 45 miles east of Austin. I write and record music in my spare time as one of my most passionate hobbies. I'm married to an incredibly wonderful woman named Molly. We were married in 2006 here in Giddings. We enjoy helping each other in our respective hobbies, hers being photography, which she's starting to do professionally with some great looking potrait photography sessions. As for me..... I graduated from high school in 1996 and in 1998 moved to Denton, Texas and graduated from the University of North Texas. I started out majoring in Music Composition, but seeing how music related jobs were scarce, I decided to graduate with a degree in Emergency Management in 2002. From Denton, I moved back to Giddings to work at my family-ran business in the natural gas industry. And now five years after graduating I am thankful for everything I have and I thank God for my wife, family, my friends, my health, my job, and my music. When I'm not writing music, I tend to be watching the Chicago Cubs, playing golf or disc golf, playing the wii, snow skiing when I get the chance, fishing, traveling, poetry, playing my different synths, or just jamming with old friends, and of coarse, hanging out with Molly. I've been playing piano for about 17 years now and writing songs for about 10 years. I consider myself a songwriter, and I've listed some of my influences to the left on this page, but my biggest influences are probably Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Wilco, and anyone in the Roots-Reggae genre. Bob Dylan has influenced my music so much in fact, I've recorded his 1963 song "A hard rain's a gonna fall" to honor his enduring poetic and musical genius. However, the majority of my songs will most likely be of my own creation. Thank you for your comments and your support of my music. ************************************************************ ************************************************************ ******************************** ************************************************************ ************************************************************ **************FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND ELECTRIC BROWN:****************************************************** ************************************************************ ******************************Some of my favorite books: ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
