Jennifer

My name is Jennifer, though I answer to Jenn or Venus. If you know me best as one, then don't hesitate in favoring it over the other. Those who know me as Venus know who they are, and why they refer to me as such.
I love animals, always have, and always will. I can't imagine a life without them, and would chose them over children any day! If you know me, you know my pets and anyone else's are the light of my life. Animals are the only innocence left in this world, and I cherish every minute spent with them.
I am a perfectionist, more so than anyone you are ever likely to meet. Borderline obsessive compulsive, and relatively health conscious. I don't smoke, tan, or do drugs - and it should be noted that I do not think very fondly of those who do. However, so long as you don't brag about taking part in the aforementioned, I will not proceed to tell you how much better I am for not.
Despite what many people believe, I hate arguments and try to avoid confrontation at all cost. However, I am assertive, and can hold my own if need be. I am not intimidated by anyone, regardless of their size, age or gender.
I believe that most everything was better in the 30's-50's, and firmly in the notion that I have missed my rightful era. I am very feminine, never to be mistaken with "girly." I am not insecure, nor am I catty and juvenile.
I am a strong individual with unwavering opinions, reasonably high standards, a mind of her own, and a voice that she isn't afraid to use. I am lucky enough to have found comfort in the aforementioned, and will not let others change my ways. Much like everything in this world happens for a reason, everything I am I have grown to be with good reason.
My Parents raised a polished young lady, and I act accordingly. Polite and gracious, without sacrificing truth or biting my tongue. Courteous by nature, because I am a lady and I should be. A woman who knows her place? Well, they just don't make 'em like me anymore. ;)
