GODDESS OF EMPTINESS
I am Karina. I am part owner/managing director of Ragebreed and vocalist of Mindlapse. By day I work as a medical accounts assistant and by night I become the rebellious rock chick :P
I have had extremes of highs and lows in my life but it's all good I accept life is about balance. I am a mostly happy person even though everything ends in "doom" and "the claw" with me. I think too much. I am deep. I make people laugh when I am drunk. I say "dude" a lot. I am a flirt but I will always stay true to the person I am with.
RAGEBREED
Ragebreed is a metal promotions company designed to assist the development of good quality underground metal bands signed or unsigned. We are reponsible for metal events such as Aggression Download in Leicester and the Under The Earth Tours. I run a street team called the Ragebreeders, who are dedicated to promotion and assisting the metal scene as far as it can go. They are true friends and a valuable part of the company.
MINDLAPSE
Mindlapse is the metal band Gaz and I started in 1996. Although our sound and line-ups have changed over the years, the feedback we have received from gigs and tours, makes us continue and love what we do. We are signed to Holier Than Thou Records and have an EP called "Souls For Sinners" available for download release through ITunes and the usual downloadable sites. We have been lucky enough to tour the UK with great bands such as Insomnium and Cancer and perform slots with Napalm Death, Skindred, Kill II This at high standard venues such as Camden Palace now called the Koko.

MUSIC
Music is my life and soul. Although I am open minded, I care a lot about the metal scene and it’s direction. I spend most of my life booking gigs, running tours/events, watching unsigned and signed metal bands, promoting, jamming and listening to music. I feel by doing this I am living authentically rather than having a life dictated to me.
Music influences your moods so I feel it is important to keep a varied taste in what I listen to. Metal is my first love, always has and always will be. I do however keep an open-minded approach. If I like it I listen to it. I don’t fit into a category and I like it that way. Music is like a diary for me.
Over the years I have listened to punk, grunge, doom, metal, hardcore, thrash, glam, death, progressive, black metal, classic rock, etc. Every type of music in this genre has been a piece of my past and has developed me as a person to appreciate every genre within rock and metal music. I therefore dance to varied music in a club.
If I am honest, death metal, progressive, melodic, and doom/atmospheric bands are where my true interests lie. I feel the music challenges your mind and the technicality and third dimension always gives me more to aspire to.
THE ARTS
I am also a big fan of the arts. I love poetry, abstract art, writing, and graphic design. I like to learn new skills, remain focussed and self motivated towards my goals. I recently got published as a poet which I am quite excited about.
