"It was Michael Cagle who stole the show. Michael is a big time Broadway style singer with an awesome range, he should have his own show soon." (Call Back Magazine)
"From the Chariot to his flame red hair the audience loved him. Michael sings and dances... does it all. His performance is one of the best in the whole production." (Jesus Christ Superstar)
"SPOTLIGHT" found it's niche when it elevated the role of singer/host Michael Cagle." (LV Review-Journal)
"One of Las Vegas' best new artists on the scene.. a genuine crowd pleaser." (Las Vegas OUT)
"By far the best performance is from that wacky actor Michael Cagle. Watching his facial reactions is a highlight." (Willie Wonka)
"Michael Cagle, a young charismatic singer from Washington took to the stage after his set with "Pure Gospel". His solos during that group's performance only served to wet the audience's appetite. His POP and R/B style stuck out in a setting dominated primarily by country acts. Michael possesses an unbelievable range, and a unique style... especially for a male singer, and, not to sound racial or prejudicial... for one that is white. He soulfully went through his stint at the festival giving nothingless than 100%. The audience not surprisingly, gave enthusiasm back even through his last encore." (review of Gospel Fest- Sacramento Cal.)
"Michael has the ingredients... he is destined for stardom." (Davis Herald)
"One of my favorite performances was from Michael Cagle as Fabian...Michael is a master of slaptstick and physical comedy... I like perfomers who possess skill and stage presence (he) has it in great abundance." (12th night)
"No one who sees this play will ever forget Michael Cagle as the Teen Angel. The guy can sing making me wonder why he is still here (local). His performance was filled with difficulties... and Michael earned the audience's applause." (Grease)
"One of the most professional shows I have ever seen. Michael Cagle as the plant.... well it has to be seen and heard to be believed. Michael sings outstandingly and totally dominates in the role of the plant." (Little Shop of Horrors)
"The Guy can belt out those songs." (Out and About with Chastity)
"Did I mention talented.... this guy is terrific." (BUGLE)

This label has been given to Michael Cagle, and it encompasses his Powerful vocals, Passionate interpretations, Diversity of styles, and a Delivery (stage presence) that one newspaper said, makes "him worthy of a Standing Ovation every time he sings".
The 6 years of Music Theater, 4 years of Classical, and 2 years of Jazz training has helped Michael Cagle become a vocalist whose experience, resume, awards and fan base is not easily shared by other "upcoming" performers. He has had his talents exposed to literally countless millions due to his national and international television appearances, concerts, and many theatrical performances. He has headlined festivals and opened for mainstream/major label recording artists.
Among the performers he has opened for or appeared with: Reba McEntire, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Eddie Rabbit, The Drifters, Trisha Yearwood, Ricky Skaggs, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Diamond Rio, The Kingsmen, Steven Curtis Chapman, Sheena Easton and many more. Michael spent over ten years touring the Northwest fair circuit.
Michael has been named Top Vocalist, Best Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year by different contests, magazines and organizations.
Performing since his middle school days, as an adult Michael focussed on musical theater lead roles included the Plant in "Little Shop", Herod in "Jesus Christ Superstar", The Soulful Teen Angel in the updated "Grease", and Guiteau in "Assassins" which won him a best actor in a musical award. Michael has appeared on television networks such as Showtime, HBO, Discover and the Travel Channels. Michael also hosted his own television program for over a year that was picked up in 8 different markets.
Michael possesses an impressive, and not easily matched 4 and half octave range. His unique range and style, coupled with his passionate and powerful stage presence has earned him such accolades as TNN's "Fast Track to Fame" Grand Champion Male Vocalist, A Final Four on Ed McMahon's Next Big Star (based on Internet votes) and has had many newspapers and magazines touting him as "Best Vocalist", "One of the Best Talents Anywhere", "Destined for Stardom" and "A Genuine Showstopper". In fact, Michael has been spotlighted and reviewed coast to coast, from the Sacramento Bee to the Boston Herald.
In late 2003 and 2004 Michael won the Broadway category at the New York International Music festival, and won the Horizon Award for best Las Vegas Newcomer in the winter of 2004. Michael hosted a singer's showcase for Fox Television called SINGSATIONS. He also created and co-hosted the incredibly popular radio program "The Spin Cycle".
After a successful 13 month, six nights a week headliner run in the showroom at the Bourbon Street Casino, on the Las Vegas Strip, Michael soon focused his attentions to recording and touring again. His latest time in the studio has seen Michael finish recording his latest CD projects- "BACK ON MY FEET AGAIN", a pop project that is getting incredible response, and "SHOWSTOPPER"- an all Broadway disc that has garnered Michael his best reviews ever.

Influences: I have been a big fan and have been influenced by story tellers and belters. I loved and still love the people that lay it all out when they sing, holding nothing back and treating each song song like its a finale. You know, that "star" that enters the stage like it's their house.

My all-time favorite singer and the master of stage presence and delivery is the one and only Patti Labelle. She is the best and there is none like her-- anywhere. She is in a league all by herself, and time after time she makes each song, and each performance new.
My other faves are hard to list because there are so many great artists that bring something awsome to their perspective genres.
I love Rascall Flatts, Maroon 5, Journey and Styx for groups.
I love Pop Divas Celine Dion, classic Whitney and Jennifer Hudson.
Country Divas I listen to include Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.
Broadway Divas Linda Eder, Bernadette Peters and Jennifer Holliday.
Finally the Male Divas (yes there are others!! haha) Billy Porter, Michael English, Andrea Boccelli, Elton, Nathan Lane and my all-time favorite male singer- Sam Harris.
Basically I am a DIVA LOVER!!! --
HEY!!! I told you I am very eclectic in my styles!!

Your Vote Score: 12% Republican, 88% Democrat
Unabashedly liberal and insightful, you fit well with the Democrat party. You should, without a doubt, definitely vote Democrat this election.
In fact, you're so strongly Democrat, a political career (or at least some activism) may be in your future.
Tenacious, and highly informed on issues, you are an assett to whichever candidate you back. It is doubtful you can ever be swayed to a conservative agenda. Should You Vote Republican or Democrat?
Sounds Like: With an over-all R/B and Soul feel, coupled with a STRONG Broadway Belt and a touch of Classical tendencies, I have to say I sound like..... me. I do not try to emulate anyone and my interpretations and vocal arranging is my own style. (Tho I do try to stay true to the feeling when it comes to Broadway)
Because of the amount of musical exposure I have had, and also have been blessed to work within...I love singing many styles of music. One minute it may be something from "Phanton" or "Rent", the next its pop and soul, then maybe some Black Gospel, add a touch of some pop country, then slip in an aria like "Nessun Dorma". There are so many styles each sounding true to their genre.. but unmistakeably.... me...

VOCAL BREAKDOWN
On a weekly basis, and especially after a concert, I get many, many questions regarding my range-- and I also get asked technical questions about my belt, blending, and classical technique.
SO FOR THOSE INTERESTED HERE IS A BREAKDOWN--For the most part I am most comfortable singing upper tenor range, tho I can handle low baritone notes, and have quite often sung 2nd alto as well.
Although I sing three types of vocal styles, the one most identified with me is the BELT--(most people who comment on me say I sing with a lot of belt)and I have been guilty of running a belt up past a "B" or "C". This is great for contemporary Broadway, and obviously Pop and Soul music genres. I do use a Classical/Crossover technique when doing Broadway style songs written traditionally and of course opera. Finally, after years of being stubbborn, I am utizing a blended mixed technique more and more often (a blend of "chest" and "head"). I have to ay I am really getting into mixed sound now, and it has been an amazing transformation, singing through "the mask".

TECHNICAL STUFF
Low range- The bottom of my register I can hit comfortably is the Eb an octave and minor 5th below middle C.
Upper range- In regards to my upper range, My power notes (PURE BELT, no mix) really kicks in at F above middle C through high C (Tenor C).
I can hit a CLASSICAL Tenor high Db (a half step above Tenor High C with no belt, all technique).
I can hit the G above a Tenor's High C with no problem and no falsetto- tho I am singing at the top of my mix---
Finally, my falsetto can go to the Ab above the Soprano High C.
When all is said and done, laid out on a piano, my range is just at four and half octaves.
I hope this helps!!!
