Kyle Britton - EP "Phase One" on ITUNES

Born into a military family, Kyle lived in four different states within the first five years of his life. He took his first breath on K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in the upper peninsula of Michigan; from there the Brittons moved to South Carolina, then to Alabama, and finally to Colorado…where Kyle claims to be a native. Self taught on the guitar, he first began experimenting with the art of music and the movement of words in high school. Performing in talent shows and at local coffee houses, Kyle found his comfort and love of performing. After high school, Kyle attended college at the University of North Carolina-Asheville on a soccer scholarship where he was named Big South Conference rookie of the year and to the first team all-conference. When the opportunity arose to move back to Colorado and attend the University of Denver, Kyle took advantage. However, serious knee injuries put Kyle out of the game. With the life changing occurrence forced on him, Kyle made the best of the situation and put all his energy into his song writing. Currently passing time in Los Angeles, Britton has just begun his to make moves in his promising music career. With strong-unique vocals, clever lyrics, and comforting stage presence; Kyle is a refreshing sound in the flood of popular music.
Heart To Heart
“Heart to Heart is about universal feelings that we all seem to understand and go through. I started writing the song to talk shit about someone (let the truth be told of this classic soul)….but as I got through the song I realized that it’s not about talking down on anyone. For me, it turned into stating the obvious and trying to figure out what went wrong and what made things change with what I had. I guess people are always learning and changing from different experiences and unfortunately sometimes we just grow apart and have to start all over again.”

“I wrote Go Home as a self help book to.....myself at the time. We all know how easy it is to get in trouble when you’re out and about. After a few drinks, our inhibitors might loosen a little which could lead to us doing something we regret the next day. So, when I got the idea for Go Home I was out….and just telling myself to get the hell out of there before anything happened that I couldn’t take back….and I left! I still pat myself on the back to this day for leaving J“
