Originally born Brian M Friedenthal in Long Island New York,
Cynic grew up a having to deal with an extremely rough and abusive childhood. Never having a place really to call his home his love for Hip-Hop music was
found at an early age. He found that hip-hop music was something to help him deal with the hardships in his life he has experienced, from his mother and step-father both passing away when he was only 13, to more death's in the family through the years to come. Cynics name was adapted from the actual lack of trust hes had for people that have became close to him through out his life.
Even though his love for his music started at such a young age, he officially did not starting writing in his never ending book of rhymes until the age if 17. Cynics inspirations started from his close friend and producer Alex Cruz also known as Lex One, encouraged him to put the pad to the paper. Cynic took his new found skill and won more battles than he can count. Always dropping jaws during his battles, he certainly earned his respect amongst the underground circuit.
Cynics inspirations come from the most lyrical artists in the industry today. Big Pun, Wu Tang Clan, Killa Army, Royce da 59, Nas, Jay z, Cannibus, Masta Ace, Pharaoh Monch, KRS 1, Cocoa Brothas, Wu Syndiacte, Kool G Rap and many more. He was signed to his first label at the age of 20. Within the period of Vivrant Entertainment's run, Cynic performed at the VIP music awards opening up for Pitbull and Mister Cheeks. During this performance he was recognized by Iconz manager and was asked to collab on a track with Scruface and Skam1. Cynic guest appeared in a music video on BET uncut with label mates at the time Showboat, and Quanus ft Scruface from the IConz. Cynic is now working on his first independent L.P after numerous demos and appearances on local mixtapes. With help form his Producer and close friend Lex one, and producer Hazardis from Hazardis soundz he is focused on releasing his self titled album THE WAY I SEE IT Officially being produced by two of the hottest producers in South Florida Lex One and Hazardis of Hazardis Sounds.
Besides currently working on his album,he was recently asked to drop a club hit with the 2nd place winner from season 2004 AMERICAN IDOL Dianna Degarmo. They will soon be working on a 2nd track which will appear on Cynics album. He has recently been seen performing with his group Real Life Dialect which consists of Cynic, Ist, and Lex One. As a group that have opened up for legendary artists such as KRS ONE, Ed OG, Punchline, Wordsworth from Mtv, Kool Keith(Ultramagnetic emcees), Souls Of Mischief, Masta Ace, Murs, King Britt of Diggable Planets, Medaphore, Wildchild, Supreme,Tame one of the Artifacts, Awol One of the Shapeshifters, They have also performed alongside Wrekonize and Mayday of Southbeat records several times and opened up for them at the Storm Tour as well as Aceyalone, Ugly Duckling and Procussions, and even La Symphany opened up for them at there album release party. They've also opened up with Miami's Heavy Hitter Garcia and Dj Efn several times as well. Real Life Dialect have been performing at Major Venues from Miami to Broward such and definitely acquiring a huge fan base in the process.
Real Life Dialect has numerous songs on various mixtapes one including keepitclassic.com hosted by Ladybug Mecca of Diggable Planets and Mr.Lif. Cynic's recent single is now on the new keepitclassic hosted by Mr Wise from "Vh1's I love New York 2".Cynic has recently collaberated with Cifa Skrpx, winner of the Slim Thug contest to perform at the Dub Car show, 17,000 people were in attendance. Along with the long list of major artists he has opened for the list keeps getting bigger. He recently had the opportunity to open for Tito Puente Jr at a charity event in Miami as well. Cynics style of hip hop is based directly on the lyrics he felt the music industry is currently lacking. Hip Hop nowadays is all about who you know and not what you know. The industry is turning so commercial that artists feel like they dont have to put time into there lyrics as much as they used to Cynics focus is to bring the lyrics back to the table. Cynic currently resides in South Florida and plans to mark his territory. With his Machine gun style of rap, his detailed lyrical content, and storys that make you feel like your in the story at that moment, Cynic is sure to make not just a dent but a crater within the hip hop world.

CANDACE AKA. SEE'S BIO...
Too many artists get discouraged and stop gripping down on their
dreams... or they let complications become a scapegoat to justify
stagnant progress. "If you're guna talk, do it while you're walking.
I had to start all over this year but I'm not guna let that keep me
from moving forward! I've gained more than I had before I lost
everything. It's a new chapter and I intend to make a lot of sense
with it.
I just want to be one of those artists that everyone has on
at least one mix cd in their car - I don't necessarily want to make my
life's earnings on record sales... I want my music to get me to where
new doors are opened that otherwise wouldn't be as available.
I'm in every sense of the word, an artist - from my writings, to my
beats, to my feng shui. Yes, I'd love to sell millions of records and
I know I can... but that factor is not why I do what I do. I'm not one
of those balls-to-the-wall underground activists. Commercialism is
called that for a reason - it is felt by the masses.
I'm a moralbridge between the two. If you ever think you're catching me selling
out, you're guna have to back that track up another time and listen
closer. I listen to and am influenced by not only hip hop, but rock
and electronica. Anything that is MUSIC will satiate me. Creation is
a drug. I don't have too much of a close-knitted personal life because
it takes more effort than people are willing to put forth to be able
to understand me. But I'm cool with that."
