Voodoo Prophet is a four piece Metal band hailing from Nashville, TN. Despite the growing trends in modern metal Voodoo Prophet has clung strongly to their roots. Following in the footsteps of bands like Pantera and Metallica, Voodoo Prophet achieves a punishing mixture of power and groove. Ignoring the current trends in metal, the band has managed to stand apart from the rest of the scene and the "cookie cutter" metal bands that occupy it. The band achieves this using the K.I.S.S rule(Keep It Simple, Stupid!).
Voodoo Prophet comes to play with a love of music that grooves and punishes at the same time. The band doesn't rely on gimmicks or trends to sell them, they let the music do all the talking. Voodoo Prophet is much more than just a studio band. The Voodoo Prophet live show is about as high octane as you can get. From SIKTom commanding the crowd and Jason's full fledged bass solo, to Voodoo jumping off stage into the pit and Zane's insane drum solo, the show is far more than just music. It's a spectacle. The guys genuinely love what they do and have a great time on and off stage. Voodoo Prophet has often been compared musically to their heros, Pantera, Lamb of God, Metallica, Black Label Society. Humbly, the guys shrug and reply with "We play what we love and what we would want to hear.". Apparently what the guys want to hear is what many others do as well. Creating a buzz not only in their hometown of Music City, USA, but also on the national scene. The band has gotten radio play from their hometown rock station 102.9 the Buzz, to a dozen stations across the U.S and U.K. As well, Voodoo Prophet has opened for many National acts including Prong, Chthonic, Destroy Destroy Destroy, amongst others.
