I'll listen to about any kind of music, but my favorites are rock in all its forms. Hard rock, soft rock, oldies, classical, film soundtracks, small smidge of Opera, POP, alternative, about anything that's good. I've never been into rap and am more picky when it comes to country. I've never embraced nu-metal all that much. Just about every song in every genre strikes me as good every once in awhile.
Rabid horror fan. Whether in movies, books, music, or collectibles. No favorite in the genre, there's too many to choose from. Because of this, I can't bring myself to list even one horror film in the below:
Some Non-Horror : Braveheart (The movie, the story, the music - all beautiful, haunting, amazing), Scarface (Building a small collection of memorabilia here, one of the best movies...ever), Man without a face (Another Mel Gibson have-to-see), Planes Trains and automobiles (John Candy - THE COMEDIAN), Meet the Parents, Romancing the Stone (Childhood favorite), Adventures in Babysitting (Beyond dorky but hilarious when I was a kid), French Kiss (Not the biggest Meg Ryan fan, but this one never grows old, sensational), Terms of Endearment (If you're ever in search of a tear-jerker, this is it), It's a Wonderful life, Gone with the wind, Red Heat (Yes, the Arnold comedy, it's hysterical), Rambo (First one was great), The Dirty Dozen, Dirty Harry, and many others. I'd better stop, the urge to start naming suspenses like Jacob's Ladder, Whatever happened to Baby Jane, and Vertigo and slipping into horror is killing me here
Favorite Actors - Al Pacino (I'm a major Pacino whore! This man can bring reality to anything, sensational), John Candy (The true comedian, he's missed), James Stewart (Truly inspiring, a great guy all around and one-of-a-kind actor, Vincent Price (Do I need to elaborate here??), and finally Michael Rosenbaum, not only because he's gorgeous, but because his talent screams volumes.
Actresses? Never had favorites the same as the men, none stood out as much. There's some great ones, but none I overly clicked with. Pity. The only one I've bonded with as a favorite 'horror' actress (although she plays in a lot more) is Dee Wallace Stone. Top notch act.
The Shield (Vic Mackey - amazing!), Smallville (Goofy idea but addicting as hell, a guilty pleasure), Sex and the City (True friends, amazing show), Seinfield (Weird how my top four start with S), Black and White Bewitched (never grows old), Green Acres (keeps me laughing non-stop, have to sympathize with Oliver), Home Improvement (Tim's antics and jokes are worth it), Roseanne (One of the BEST comedy sitcoms!), Law N Order (Whether the original or SUV, can't stand Criminal Intent), Without a trace (When the hell are they releasing more than Season 1 on DVD!?!?), The Outer Limits (Original, haven't caught the new yet, have to love it!), The Twilight Zone (Classic), Golden Girls (Another top favorite and good example of true friends), Cheers (Some dull moments here and there but overall terrific), The Flintstones (Come on, these are great), The Big Valley (A rare western I'm in love with, they've finally released the first season!), Sisters (Been YEARS, release the seasons! LOVED this way back when), Picket Fences (Another massive favorite, always made myself late for school catching this one, where I fell in love with Tom Skerrit's acting), Dallas (Own every season - the best soap opera on TV, bar none, never gets corny!), Bob Newhart and Newhart (both good in different ways, good if in the mood for deadpan humor), Clarissa Explains it all (ah, those were the days), The Honeymooners (Great oldie), That 70's Show (Thought it would be stupid, turned out clever), Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse - other kiddie pleasures (Let's not forget first few years of Rugrats, I almost named Gage Tommy as a tribute!), Judge Judy (I try to catch it daily), Coach, The Wonder Years, and sadly there are more
I never had a favorite book, there are too many to choose from. Favorite Author - Laurell K Hamiltons Anita Blake Series (only the early ones 1-9, rest are readable but induce a grimace or so - hard core porn with no original plot left, rehashed scenes - it didn't have to get old, it just shouldn't have changed in the wrong direction!), Jonathan Kellermans Alex Delaware Series (Now there's a man, every book a page-turned, intelligent, well-written, great), Ruby Jean Jensen (She's let off some stinkers - Chain Letter reeks of high school writing and deadline story, but Celia and a few others are dark and disturbing like only she can do), Graham Masterton (Creative, amazing, amazing writer - loved everything he's done), select Douglas Clegg (he can fall hard sometimes, but other books - esp. anthologies, are great. Also loved his Harper trilogy), Dean Koontz (Geared more toward his earlier stuff but he's always great), Edward Lee - a great guilty pleasure, fine writer and filled with erotica horror, Andrew Neiderman - sadly, sadly overlooked but some 'fun' works - not to mention some horrible trash), and many others
