This is a page dedicated to Miss Tairrie B of MY RUIN. As a strong woman who can identify with many , she has always had outspoken views that connect with many people on many levels. From her rap roots to her now notorious rock/metal band, she is a force to be reckoned with. Brutally honest and full of love for her friends and fans, she despises that which is fake in this world and fights for what she believes in. Many issues from rape to weight have influenced her lyrics, as well as love, hate and death.
Tairrie became a rapper in the late 80's early 90's but never fely 100% comfortable. It wasn't until fronting Manhole then Tura Satana that Tairrie found her niche in the rock band MY RUIN..which brings us up to date.My Ruin have released most recently "The Brutal Language"

Miss B writes amazing lyrics...she can be loving, brutal, honest, poetic, dark, scary, metaphorical and literal...she writes about issues that lots of people (men and women) go through and she often says exactly what everyone else is thinking, just more eloquently...or sometimes just downright in your FACE!!! She (and Mick) has also shown that she has some longevitiy in an industry that churns out so much crap and bullshit...Tairrie has been around for a while and she aint going anywhere soon!! Sometimes it's hard to believe that she was born in 1965 but if she's still at the top of her game and rocking, why the hell should she stop?!!

The main thing I guess is that the Tairrie (and the band) are real and true. They pull no punches and they tell it like it is- like it SHOULD be. Their most endearing trait to me is they way that they are humbled by the fans...My Ruin is a band that loves it's fans and shares so much with them..from something as simple as replying to an e-mail to taking the time after shows to meet people and have drinks with them...I cannot think of another band that is so down to earth and unpretentious..and for that I LOVE MY RUIN!!!
