About Me

Crimes of the Future are a four-piece gang made up of two mean guys and two glamorous femmes fatales. They've gigged extensively in north London, from charity bashes in Hoxton to boozed-up nights at the Dublin Castle in Camden, plus art parties and the recent launch do for new independent label Zap System at the Brixton Windmill supporting Die Die Die. Musically, they match the moody guitars of bands like Interpol with the female-fronted pop eccentrica of earlier acts like Blondie, Throwing Muses and The Human League, with some wild keyboards and orchestral acoustic thrown in for good measure. Their pop instincts are combined with sinister undertones and a punk DIY sensibility.Already attracting attention in the music press, COTF are currently recording new songs for their first single which is to be released on Zap System later in the year. They are coming - when you least expect it - to a record store near you.And they know where you live..."The kind of cool melodies most bands would sell their dear old granny for" (Artrocker magazine) MyGen Profile Generator
