About Me

When AM radio was king of the streets and new music breakthroughs were broadcast live every hour of the day, Los Angeles native Roller8 was hanging with friends on cardboard sidewalks and beginning to explore mixing and scratching on a pair of horribly cheap turntables his family had retired to the garage junk heap. Nursed on the sounds of soul, funk and disco made the appeal of old school hip-hop as natural as breathing and the strong desire to join this new music revolution led to the purchase of the first drum machine. The first drum machine led to the first keyboard, then the first reel-to-reel tape deck and finally, the first sampler. Making new music since 1986, Roller8 continues to learn and grow, embracing many styles.

Recent production and remix projects include:

songwriter/recording artist Coco Street (Chosen Few/TPMT Music/various) internationally known Producer/Remixer/DJ Terrence Parker (Intangible/TPMT Music/various) Lina (Sony/Hidden Beach) Kindred the Family Soul (Sony/Hidden Beach) Ginuwine (Sony/Epic) Bishop Edmund Griffin (TPMT Music) Plastik Funk (Egoiste) Greenleaf Ave (indie) The Stims (indie)

Ongoing collaborations with long time friend and accomplished and production for indie rock band The Stims, along with many other pending productions keep the studio, and Roller8, pumping on a daily diet of fresh new music destined for the dancefloor.
