About Me

Who am I, that any man should esteem me? It is the Lord alone Who is worthy of praise. For He is the Maker of both Heaven and Earth, and what have I made? How should I be fed, but that the Lord should look upon me? With what shall I clothe myself, but that which the Lord provides? Have I brought forth myself out of my mother's womb? Had I formed myself therein? No, but I am as clay in the hands of the potter, and the Lord has made me. Wherefore should I glory but in the cross of Christ? For I was carried away with the chaff on the wind, but the Lord has gathered me with the wheat. Woe to me if I should glory in my own flesh, or if I should be counted wise in my own eyes. For the Lord has made me lower than the angels, but by His merciful hand shall I be brought up with my Redeemer on high. Oh my Lord, it is you who knows my weakness, who strengthens me with thine own hands. How I love Thee, Lord! For if He is with me, what man should stretch forth his hand to smite me? Yes, the Lord shall see, and mark it. But the prayer of the righteous shall He answer, and they shall not be forgotten. Blessed be the name of the Lord, for He is true. The Lord is my Shepherd, and though I like a sheep had gone astray, I have turned at His reproof. Though there be many numbered among His flock, the Lord will forget not one. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be comforted. Turn from the path of iniquity, and follow Him, and you shall not go unrewarded. Who is good, and with Whom dwells righteousness? Only the Lord; there is none else. He is Love; His way is longsuffering toward us. Oh, that all would come to repentance! But if not, let His will be done. Even so, come Lord Jesus, and take us home.

My Interests

Glorifying my Lord Jesus Christ, praising His Holy Name, spending quality time with my family. My husband is my best friend on Earth, and I love hanging out with him. I have two beautiful children who keep me company all day long. We love to sing together. I often make up special songs just for my kids, and they seem to love it. Sometimes I just sing favorite hymns to them...whenever the mood strikes me. I love this time of year and plan on spending as much time outdoors as possible! We have a small garden that I am enjoying right now! I'm a country girl at heart and in practice. I just started wearing shoes outdoors on a regular basis...seriously! So I'm right at home here in Arkansas. Spring has sprung, and my kids and I have been playing outdoors quite a bit lately. My daughter has a new swing set, and we've also been going on "wagon rides." It's a toy wagon, OK? I don't get in it myself! My daughter Autumn just turned three and my son Solomon will be a year old in June. He still can't walk yet, but he weighs only five pounds less than his sister already! Oh, they keep me busy. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so my kids and I are very close...for now. The best thing about being a stay-at-home mom is that your kids won't judge you. I can be as goofy as I want to be, and they just love it.

Music:

Movies:

Whoa. Don't get me started. Every film has a message. In most cases, it's all about sex, drugs, violence, and occultism. Please be careful! I do enjoy documentaries. I'm very truth-oriented, so entertainment is not important to me at all. I find that when I watch movies for entertainment value, I tend to get "caught up" in the emotion of the film. Do you ever wonder what people did before Hollywood came along? Pray for celebrities, because they really do have hard lives.

Television:

Do not watch it. I call it a 'propaganda box.' This thing will hypnotize, i.e., mesmerize you. It will desensitize you to all that is evil. Plus it sucks. (These tests are a joke!) Have you seen the Disney Channel lately? Why is it all about witches? I'm serious! This stuff just ain't for me. I don't plan on letting my kids watch it at home either. If I'm at someone else's house, I'll sometimes watch TV (usually news). I remember when I first realized that there were subliminal messages in television commercials. Does anybody remember the old commercial for the "Reflections of Love" CD? I must have been about 12 or so when I saw it. Anyway, there was a subliminal message in that. I don't want to tell you what it was because I'm a Christian lady, but you get the idea. How many other ads or programs contain such hidden messages? You might want to limit your intake.

Books:

The Bible! You know the Bible 100%!

Wow! You are awesome! You are a true Biblical scholar, not just a hearer but a personal reader! The books, the characters, the events, the verses - you know it all! You are fantastic!

I love it! I don't read much else. When I do, it is usually non-fiction. Why should grown-ups play make-believe? Am I the most boring person ever or what? Some books I would recommend:BRAVE NEW WORLD by Aldous Huxley (it's what we're living in) THE GLASS CASTLE by Jeannette Walls (true story, yet highly entertaining) HEART OF DARKNESS by Joseph Conrad CATHOLICISM: A MODERN BABYLON by Frances Swaggart JUDE THE OBSCURE by Thomas HardyRecently Read: THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF EVIL by Johanna Michaelson THE LIGHT THAT WAS DARK by Warren Smith SATAN'S UNDERGROUND by Lauren Stratford A PLANNED DECEPTION by Constance Cumbey THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW by Constance Cumbey LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER by Johanna MichaelsonYeah, some of these are kind of depressing, I guess. Nevertheless, that's the kind of stuff I enjoy reading.....

Heroes:

I love the Lord Jesus Christ. He is much more than my hero. He is my savior, my God, my kinsman-redeemer, my hope, my love, and my salvation. When He came here the first time, he came as the Lamb Slain From the Foundation of The World. He was without blemish, perfect in every way. He laid down His life of His own free will, He was despised and rejected of men, and we esteemed Him not. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed!(Isaiah 53:5). The best part is that He is coming back...and SOON! I don't know about you, but I'm going to get my garments ready to make sure they are clean and wrinkle-free! Hallelujah to the Lamb!..

Questioning my faith, Part One: My childhood

Four years ago, I was a committed atheist.  In my mind, I had proven to myself, using logic and reason of course, that there was no God.  The concept was a logical impossibility, and I had a...

Yes, you ARE a sinner!

The single most offensive question a Christian can ask a nonbeliever is this: "Do you know that you're a sinner?" Now most nonbelievers would hastily say "No," because, clearly, the word "sinner" has ...
