This label is being launched to give something back. I’ve been given many opportunities to make a positive impact in the music world: from playing guitar in Opiate For The Masses, to producing and scoring film. The experience and knowledge I’ve obtained from the artists who have generously taught and mentored me, can only be recycled in this way. To maximize their talents, I will be working to develop each artist on an individual basis, and I feel honored to provide them with the opportunity to have their music be heard all around the world. With my understanding of the production, touring, and the business process, I will be able to provide a foundation for the young artists who have in turn, inspired me.Worse than the well publicized current downturn in record sales, is the highly unpublicized fact that globally, we are experiencing a crisis in art. In the last decade, product worth buying has been scarce, and I believe this has led to fewer record sales. American Voodoo believes in the album as an art form and is committed to true artist development, which has been modeled in spirit after the great labels that were part of making my favorite records. If things don’t change, I fear that future generations will be robbed of the wealth of great material that these artists have given us. We are resilient and I am steadfast in my commitment by building American Voodoo from the ground up, one record at a time. I look forward to earning the trust and respect of listeners worldwide by solidifying the American Voodoo brand as a label that means something today.
