Synopsis
A heist movie in the classic Hollywood tradition, LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON follows two crack thieves, Emilio and Alejandro, who reunite to rob the biggest thief they know – Moctesuma Valdez, a TV infomercial guru who’s made millions selling worthless health products to poor Latino immigrants. Valdez’s empire is next to impossible to infiltrate. But Emilio and Alejandro know if they go undercover as day laborers – chauffeurs, gardeners, maids, and repairmen – they can rob Valdez blind right under his nose. It’s a perfect plan…except that no one on their team wants the job.
Refusing to give up, Emilio and Alejandro come up with a solution so insane it might just work – use real day laborers. Within days, they form a team of criminal amateurs with just the right skills. There’s Julio, a TV repair shop employee who’s also an electronics expert, Rafa and Rafaela, a valet and his mechanic daughter in charge of transportation, Miguelito, a Cuban refugee actor and master of disguises, and the metro-sexual ditch digger, Anival, who plays the token heavy.

Tal como dice el dicho, LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON TIENE CIEN AÑOS DE PERDON.
LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON es una película sobre un golpe delictivo en la vieja tradición de Hollywood. Claro que el golpe no es llevado a cabo por profesionales, sino por un grupo de inmigrantes que, en sus trabajos cotidianos, tienen acceso a áreas de alta seguridad, y como resultado tienen la coartada perfecta para el crimen perfecto.
Dos brillantes ladrones, Emilio y Alejandro, vuelven a unirse para su próximo plan: robarle al gurú de los infomerciales televisivos Moctesuma Valdez, un multimillionario encantador de serpientes que vende placebos para bajar de peso, resolver problemas masculinos e incluso hasta para curar el cáncer. La idea es reunir a su equipo habitual de ladrones profesionales y ubicarlos, como una célula dormida, en la vida cotidiana de su potencial víctima, haciéndolos pasar como choferes, jardineros, mucamas y técnicos. El objetivo: robarle a Valdez en sus propias narices. Pero ninguno de los integrantes del equipo habitual de ladrones quiere participar .
Es por eso que terminan recurriendo a verdaderos inmigrantes-- ¡claro que el problema es que estos NUNCA han delinquido antes! El resultado es un equipo de diversos perdedores, tratando de sacar adelante una tarea imposible, con probabilidades casi nulas de lograrlo. Pero a veces, que te subestimen puede convertirse en tu mejor recurso.
