Imran Hanif www.imranmusic.tv is an independent, results orientated composer-producer with a wealth of market experience spanning the underground to the commercial mainstream and beyond.
Imran composed and produced music for the current re-branded BBC 1 ..circle.. idents. (Bikes/Moon/Hippos/Kites/Roses/Windows/Football/Surfer). Other recent credits include Toyota Yaris "Big Small", Adidas Predator V F50 and film cue compositions for Universal Films: Wild Child, Mr Bean's Holiday, Definitely Maybe, About a boy, Calcium Kid and Johnny English
Imran penetrated the business as sound designer for Jonzi D..s hip-hop dance theatre at the Place Theatre in the mid nineties and soon established himself as a producer with the esteemed Brixton production stable, Blacksmiths. Working under the moniker 12Stone he cut his teeth producing B-side dancefloor hits for European chart topper Lutricia McNeal. Early composition work included title sequence music for Channel 4..s Generation Sex. Imran ended the nineties in style, as musical director on Tom Ford..s Milan show for Gucci in 1999.
Imran has always been an active rock musician and writer, touring with Garrett Lee..s Jacknife Lee (bass) in 2000 and in 2002 signed his previous band, Dead Relative www.myspace.com/deadrelative , to Island/Universal. As a recording artist his studio collaborations include, among others, Matt Hyde, Dave Ogilvy, Alan Moulder and James ..Jimbo.. Barton.
