"...EVERY HOLE IS A PENETRATION POINT..."

About Me

.. It was the year 1991 when a group of weird guys decided that they should contribute for the world chaotic movement. Inspired on the early Grind-Gore and Death Metal scene like Carcass, Repulsion, Impetigo, Napalm Death, Exit-13, Blood, Agathocles, Autopsy, Broken Hope and many other glorious musical freaks, the most fiercefull, twisted and mincing band on this land was brought up to life.GROG was the name and the four original villains were Joo (Guitar), Johnny (Drums), Marco (Bass) and Pedra (Voice). After some months of rehearsing a Promo-Rehearsal was recorded in the beginning of 1992. It was called The Bluuuaaarrrggghhh Rehearsal 92 and had six tracks of pure Grind-Gore plus an Intro. The reviews were very positive and that only built strength to continue this musical madness.During 1992 new songs were made to be included in what would be the first band demo. That moment was in the beginning of 1993 and A Nauseating Sweet Taste stood up as one of the most aggressive releases in the Portuguese musical scene ever. After this release the first band problem appeared. Joo decided to leave the band, and to his place entered Hugo. Right away new tracks were made showing a more oriented Death-Grind style of sound. During that year (1993) playing live was a priority as well. Many gigs were played all over Portugal and the band begun to spread their ravenous insanity through the Portuguese stages, showing that the music fit perfectly well on live performances. As it was said many new songs were made during 1993 and also 1994.Those songs were recorded in 1994 and an untitled Promo-Tape was released with only two. This Promo-Tape was sent to several labels to see what would be their reactions and then if possible get a fair record deal. In the mean time the possibility to release a 7Ep came by the German Label Born To Booze Records already in 1995. Untitled 95 Stabwounds in your Throat the 500 copies sold out. Finally in 1996 a record deal was signed between the band and Skyfall Records and during the same year the first album was recorded. Macabre Requiems was released in the beginning of 1997 with thirteen tracks that showed the world what GROG was all about. Though the good reviews that the media gave the band entered in its most dark period ever. During a great part of 1997 and 1998 the band fell apart. The only remaining member was Pedra, everyone else quit for different reasons. The first new grindsoul to enter was Ivo (Bass), then Nuno (Guitar), Paulo (Guitar) and Bruno (Drums). We were in 1998 and it was the first time that the band have five lunatics. Unfortunately that didnt result as planned and Paulo left the band. After a long time rehearsing new gigs were played along with new songs. During this same year Skyfall Records announced their rupture due financial problems. After one year together another change on the line-up happened. Bruno quit the band and for a moment there was a halt. Fortunately a new maniac, Beto, entered and once again the line-up was complete. At that moment the band prepared all of its songs to play live and made new songs for a future second album. For that purpose a new Promo-Rehearsal was sent to labels. That new material was untitled Regurgitape 99, had seven new songs and wasnt for sale.During the year of 2000 and due the need in bringing more heaviness to their music a new bass player entered the band in June 2000, which made Ivo return to the guitar . Sick as hell, this new pervert, Simo, brought the crushing disharmony the band purchased. So after some contacts with interested labels, Shock Wave Records offered the best record deal. The album would be untitled Odes to the Carnivorous , it was released in April of 2001 with ten new crushing tracks.Unfortunately, things didnt work out with Beto and he was released from the band. Right away a new drummer was found, Rolando, and the band began to work hard to pull everything together once again. At this same time an Official Live Tape was released by Lucidist and Requiem Productions. Madness, Horror and Guts Live contains almost 60 minutes of severe ear torture with all the band classics and seven new tracks. After sometime of recording the album, another change happened, N. Loureiro left the band and this time we decided to carrion with the rest of the crew. Unfortunely , after a while Simo had to leave the band due to his personal life, and for his place came Alex, and at the same time Hugo Andremon retuned to the band to the second guitar. At this time, the band is creating new material that is meant to be another step forward into the twisted dimension of horror, flesh & demise. So hold on to your ears because devastation will continue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
