Woah Nelly!

About Me

Some people say that I’m not a people person. That’s not entirely true. I enjoy meeting people; however, it is the people that lack common sense that get to me. I don’t have a problem with expressing my feelings when the time calls for it and I don’t think that that makes me any less “nice”.I grew up around the theatre. The first show that I saw was The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in New York City when I was about eleven. I’ve worked around stage theatre as well as film for numerous years and have learned a lot about each side of the entertainment industry.I worked as a PA in Los Angeles, CA in 2006 for the West Coast Premier of “Tick, tick…BOOM!” the musical by Jonathan Larson (RENT). It was a great experience and I met a lot of wonderful people both behind the scenes and in front. I have some photos from my stay in California in my photo section if anyone is interested in checking those out. There is also a photo collage of my time there (collage and photos taken by Jan) in one of my BLOGS. Check that out when you have time. While I love the entertainment field, I also have a wide array of interests that encompass Paranormal Research, Psychology (Abnormal & Death and Dying were my original intended College majors), Egyptology, Anthropology, Roman and Irish history, as well as the visual arts (you can see some of my work in my “My Art” album in my photo section).I love to travel; however, I don’t get a chance to do it very often. Once I win the lottery, I’ll never be home! ;)I have two pups (Babe and Jake), both of which are the BIGGEST babies that I’ve ever seen! There are, of course photos of them in my photo section as well.I’ve lived through a lot and have experienced a lot and through it all, the good and the bad-I believe that I am a better person for having experienced life in those ways.I believe that life is ever Involving and Evolving and it is sometimes through your darkest moments that you become a better human being.

My Interests

The Paranormal, History, Psychology, Theatre (both Musical and non), Travel, Visual Arts, and anything else that I find along the way.

I'd like to meet:

My grandfather (my father's dad) and my uncle (my mother's brother). Both men died before I was born.In the world of crackspace: Anyone that shares in the same interests as me and is willing to listen and share.View All Friends | View Blog | View Pics | Add Comment

Hey folks,

Now you can leave me a voice message! I can't wait to match faces to voices! :P

This movie was so cute. You should all go see it!

Music:

I enjoy pretty much anything but R&B and Rap. I love Sinatra and Dean Martin, Garth Brooks, Liza Minnelli, Andrea Bocelli, U2, Sting, Michael Ball, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Robbie Williams, Tom Petty (his old stuff), John Mellencamp, etc. I still think that Jesse L. Martin has an amazing voice-though he hasn't even tried putting himself out there aside from RENT.Classical is good as well. I'm a fan of Vivaldi (Con No. 4 in f: Allegro non molto, largo, and allegro). Classical Electronics-Rebecca Luker is amazing! Composer and Violinist Nigel Kennedy is AMAZING!I'm fairly eclectic.OH! Might I just mention that I LOATHE the song "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" by Looking Glass, so don't think for one moment that you have to "inform" me of a song titled with my name...I already know. Thanks.

Movies:

I love the classics. There are far too many films that I enjoy to list them all but some of them include:JAWS I & II The Godfather I & II One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest The Deer Hunter Arsenic and Old Lace All About Eve Cat on a Hot Tin Roof A Streetcar Named Desire Apocolypse Now Crash Mystic River Indiana Jones (looking forward to the last one) Anything by M. Night ShyamalanI like all genres, yes-even Science Fiction.

Television:

I used to LOVE "Quantum Leap", "Forever Night", and "M*A*S*H*". I also used to watch Star Trek (the original with Shatner and the Next Generation with Patrick Stewart)-call me a geek, it's alright. I'm use to it. ;)"Will & Grace": Ben says that I'm Karen-maybe a little... hehe"Friends" was entertaining as well. I wasn't a fan of "Joey"...and obviously I wasn't the only one.Now I enjoy "Extras", "Big Love", "The Office", and "Ghost Hunters". I don't like the "reality tv" stuff like Big Brother or Survivor, etc. Never liked it, never will and don't want to try.

Books:

I am currently reading Deborah Blum's "Ghost Hunters".Recently I had read Anderson Cooper's "Dispatches From the Edge". I enjoyed that one.

Heroes:

My parents and anyone that is willing to stand up against the unbelievable injustices of this world.
