The conception of Big Island Records came to Daniel one day while out riding his bike. He imagined enjoying life on a little island in the Caribbean with the expectation of chillin’ even if times were rough. When people would ask him how his day was going he would reply “chillin’ on the big island.” A strange look would then follow and He’d say “America IS a Big Island the last time I checked.” So wherever he goes he remembers to chill out, be grateful and enjoy the moment. "The Big Island" mind set is simple. Daniel love's music, from classical, to the man on the street, playing his sax for spare change. Daniel has been influenced by Rock, Country, Metal, Punk, Hip-Hop, Techno and all electronic music. Daniel love's music because the musician experiences freedom while the listener shares the freedom of being present.Big Island Records is inspired by all people who want to see a better world today.Through producing and following a dream Daniel has found that place of Love, Peace, and Determination to spread light to others which has been a goal of his for the last 12 years. Now is the Time, and Now is where he finds that connection to the universe while looking around and seeing that he has plenty of food, clothing, shelter, Love and Opportunity.Yes, part of Big Island records goal is to give back. 5% of all sales will go to feeding the homeless and helping sheltered people get a head start. Another portion will go to saving a piece of the rainforest in Pacific Northwest of America and Central America.
