About Me

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Tantalizing are the thoughts that encumber my mind
"A three second gaze, a promise once spoken
A three worded phrase, a promise once broken
Decisions made in haste, bring about regret
Lessons learned by vigor, are the ones we dont forget"

A whole section dedicated to explaining myself.. probably one topic that is difficult for me to articulate on.
With age comes experience and Im starting to learn a lot more about myself. All this time Ive had everything that everyone thinks they want.. and nothing that it seemed everyone had. I'm in the process of reinventing myself, version 2.1 is long over due. Ive made my fair share of mistakes in the past.. but each and everyone was weighted with a lesson I will never forget. Never judge a book by its cover.. the text on the inside is what tells the story.
I reside in Coventry Ohio just on the out skirts of Akron, far enough away to have some room to stretch out and yet not to far away from all my friends and family. I purchased the house in July of 2007 and have since made a vast amount of changes to an already beautiful home. Its my little piece of country in the city, a back yard with woods, cape styling that reminds me of Massachusetts, a couple garages for all my toys and working pleasures, and virtually no neighbors to have conflicts with.
Music is a very large part of my life, Ive been playing guitar for over ten years now. In and out of various bands, some recognizable, others just basement blends. Currently Ive been working on a couple various solo pieces, been in and out of the recording studio with a couple different groups, and trying to pull together another band. The stage is something I miss dearly and Im hoping to remedy that situation as soon as possible. Any serious musicians looking to form a group should definately send me a message.
I am a overly indulged gear head, or maybe its actually turbo head but Im sure you get the point. Cars have always surrounded me from day one. Repairing, modifying, racing.. doesnt matter every bit of it tickles my pickle. I own several different cars from a highly modified 04 Dodge Neon SRT-4 to a 87 Chrysler Conquest that will be under going extreme changes. Im also getting back into riding again, looking at picking up a new Yamaha R1 to hit the streets with this spring. Tranquility can be found at the edge of the redline in the highest gear you have.. I know Ive been there.
Work? Seems like its all I ever do anymore. I work at Fred Martin Chevrolet, have now for a few years doing pretty much anything other than selling the cars. When not there I run a part time business out of my home, Sand Bag Motorsports. I do a lot of performance work, restoration, and even repairs right out of my home garage. Been swinging wrenches around for too many years to count, a passion of love and hate that I was never able to escape. Possible career changes in the future.. always have your eyes set out on new horizons or you may get caught off guard by the sun set.
Ive done my fair share of years in school, probably could of spent less time had I known exactly what I was trying to be. Than even after the completetion of school I still havent a clue where Im going. I attended the University of Akron for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. A few years later I opted to attend Stark State for my degree in Automotive Engineering and Science. The next step will be possibly teaching at Stark State as a professor of Automotive Sciences next fall.. god help the youth of America. I am not only certified but also certifiable... a stack of diffexrent pieces of paper from ASE, GMER, and PTK absolutely litter my filing cabinet.
Im not sure what the future holds for me.. Im hardly a believer in destiny but at this point I think Im grabbing on and holding tight to where ever I may go. The coat tails will be blowing behind me for anyone interested in accompanying me...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is interesting, of course having the same interests is always a plus but not necessarily a must. I enjoy engaging into good conversations and meeting new people, I would like to consider myself a people person. If someone is easy going and able to kick back and have a good time, then thats the type of person Id like to surround myself by.

Music:

I have a wide range of music that I listen to, as long as it's good, I'll give it a shot. Predominantly, I listen to Indie Rock/Emo/Alternative styles of music. Occasionally (usually this incurs when Im hanging out with my boy JPMonee) I'll listen to rap and techno. Recently I've gotten into listening to some electronic/techno, Ive always listened to classic rock and some of the oldies too. So I'll try to get a good group of everything I listen too, all of which is in my car right now.

Books:

I definately don't get a lot of time to read so this should be a quick list. I recently read the Davinci Code and that was a great book. Any of Stephen Kings works can be loads of fun. My favorite author is R.A. Salvatore, he created a realm that is just so realistic through his words. I wish I had more time to read, hopefully once I settle down with only a job to worry about, I can spend an hour or two every day.

Heroes:

My father would have to be my central most hero. I've learned so much from my dad, if I grow up to be half the man he is... I would of accomplished a great feat.
