About Me

Raeana grew up in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles C.A. Coming from a musical family, Raeana knew early on she was interested in music. Her mother and two older sisters who were all singers, played a huge part in what her musical influences would be. The sounds of Motown, Rock N Roll and good pop music filled the house, great Jazz and even old swing bands played a big part.Growing up watching many musicians struck her interest in playing guitar. Her mother purchased Raeana's first guitar at the age of thirteen. As the years passed, Raeana discovered her true musical purpose as she began playing guitar and writing her own music, and taking it more serious than ever before. She was different from her sisters and mother, because she was the first to play an instrument, and that gave her so much more freedom and control of her career. In 2003 her first album entitled: "Hold On to Love" comprised of six original songs produced by Andy Walo, a very talented guitarist who co-wrote the music to four of the tunes. The six song cd was recorded at Pacifica studios where artists such as Donovan and Boston have recorded throughout the years. She learned so much working with so many great musicians so it was a very positive first recording experience.Still learning more and more, Raeana continued to develop new material and had ideas for her next project . After being involved in the open-mic scene for a while and meeting some very dear friends, Raeana was introduced to her current Producer, Brian Irwin, by singer/songwriter and very close friend Ty Stone, who has been a huge influence and support to her who is also a Brian Irwin artist. Now teamed with Irwin, Raeana was able to realize where her influences were coming from bringing out the true essence of the songs. Her second album released in 2006 entitled “Who Do You Think You Are”, which featured her strong vocals and soulful melodies filled with layered harmonies, included a revised version of one of Raeana's mother's song from 1967 "A World of Love". The album explores yet another chapter in her life of love and survival and the challenges we all face. It's fun and sexy and maintains a positive outlook in the face of lost love and explores the possibilities of moving on. “It’s True” was the last song to be recorded and represents a new beginning paving the way for her 3rd album which will be released in Summer 2007.Raeana performs regularly in various nightclubs through out Los Angeles to promote her last album and is constantly recording new material. 2006 started out with Ty Stone inviting Raeana to sing back up on his album to his song "Real Thang" and also giving her the honor to sing along side him at the Signing Party in the company of Kid Rock and many other notable artists. April 29th. 2006, Raeana joined Ty Stone in a duet at The Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles as part of the opening act for Kid Rock. Raeana is now seeking representation to further her career. Not wasting any time, she has already completed her third album slated to be released in summer 2007 which explores her country soul roots. Currently Raeana has completed a single entitled “This Time”. A disco funk track that is getting rave responses from dance clubs through out the Los Angeles area.
