Past:
Is not very common the evolution suffered by Aitor Molina through his life.
Educated in classical music and member of San Sebastian's Easo Chorus, his way of creating and feeling the music becomes very particular and sensitive. In his constant search for new stimulus he finds in electronic music the universe to get lost for ever.
Real fan of the classic sound, Detroit and Chicago, ...infect him and ...set the rithm. Labels such as Transmat, Underground Resistance, Planet E, Basic Chanel, Chain Reaction, Plus 8, Warp, etc. set up the bases and criteria and show him the way to continue.
His relationship with records begins when he discovers Hobbymari Records Store, in which he collaborates nowadays. In there, hours pass by and he starts collecting all that seem interesting to him, he lets those who know more guide him, he learns and listens, and in a few years thounsands of records form his record collection and begins to feel necesity to share them all with other people.
The nerves on his first performances as a DJ are overcomed by the security on what he does and believes, always full of feeling, curiosity, criteria and rigor. The symbiosis with the audience is clear in every day of his work.
In 2003 he moves to Madrid where he joins Proboke Managment Agency along with artists such us Xpansul (Plus 8, Trapez, Pariter, Discos de Lata), Petter (Border Community), HD Substance (Software), Sian (Poker Flat), etc.
With time, he assumes greater responsibilities, bigger clubs, the first travels, more important artists to play with, festivals (MID-E), press (DJ One Magazine cover, El Pais, Diario Vasco, etc.) and radio (RNE or Radio 3). All these circumstances give rise to what he nowadays expresses with every record, gesture and smile.
Present:
"I hear a very repeated phrase, it makes reference to the electronic music situation, to techno in particular. People talk about crisis, lack of new things, repetition and no surprise... but in fact, what is it missing? Where is the crisis? In the music or in the people? Music cannot be the problem, must be the answer.
In certain way, I believe that we are the only ones that can, and what is more important, must do something to take all this forward, so all this that we have now, and really fascinates us, remains alive in the future.
Because who is going to fight for this, if those that love music do not do it? I feel I must re-feed, according to my possibilities, something I have been nourishing from and enjoying so much time... Otherwise, what would I have left? At one point there would not be anything else to enjoy, no new records to listen to.
That is the reason why I express so much passion in every sound of every record I play. That is the reason why I suffer every time I select the records and I prepare my bag to rush to any club. This is my drama, so many records in my collection that I would love to share, both new and classic ones, so much work in the studio… and everything to make every night unique, full of magic.
My sweat shows the effort and my smile the happiness as a result of the interaction between the public, my music, my hands and myself. It makes me really happy."
Future: Supernormal Records.
Supernormal Records stands for the beginning of the change, the departure point for a different way of conceiving the Club music.
Every day new tools help us leading fresh ways of playing and performing at Dj sets. In the past we could only mix tracks but, nowadays, thanks to technology and proposals like Supernormal Records Label and Net Label, we place ourselves one step ahead in patterns of creativity and innovation.
The future it is today.
