Silent Dolphins were formed in 1991 by Joakim Styrén and Jakob Winnberg, who were then in their final year of high school. After early efforts such as "Lazy Paradise" and "Oceania", the band had their fifteen minutes of fame in 1995 when Swedish National Radio's "Dance" show picked the track "Breastfed" as "demo of the week".
Due to other priorities, the band have subsequently teamed up only sporadically throughout the years. 1997 saw a lengthier concerted effort to put together a bona fide album, Worldtrade.
A few years later, some more tracks were added to the list -- but a finished album still failed to surface.
