Finding a young talented female MC can be very hard to find, combining the lyrics, flow, delivery and presence that no other female rapper has ever possessed, "Carmen", is poised to be the largest female rap artist of the 21st century.
At only 20 years of age, it is easily seen that she can rap circles around female and male competitors. It is hard to find any comparison for her, simply due to the fact that not many are as talented, regardless of gender. Her writing and style can be compared to a Fabolous or Cassidy, however her style and persona is unique all to herself. With a depleted female rap field, time has long been overdue for a new female rapper to claim their spot at top. After hearing only a verse from Carmen, it is easy to see who the next person in line is, and who will stay on top for a long time to come.
Only rapping from the age of 16, Carmen has continued to make great improvements and continues to work and perfect her craft. Establishing herself on the rap battle scene, Carmen has taken on all challengers and has left them feeling embarrassed and selfless, lines such as "You can catch me cocky with a heater/and you don't see pussy, that's why you beat your meat like Rocky in the freezer," combined with a powerful presence and delivery has lead her to be well recognized and not someone people look to challenge.
Consisting of real raps, and punchlines that make you press rewind, Carmen is years ahead of the competition and will only continue to distance herself from any other aspiring rappers. Female rappers often are not taken as seriously and are not looked to as being artists who can have long lasting and strong careers, with her, that certainly not be the case. Carmen is a knowledgeable young woman when it comes to the business side of things and someone who is very marketable to all audiences.
