About Me

So I regularly forget how old I am... haha, is that a sign of the end? I guess I have a problem with taking life too seriously and for admitting when I'm wrong... go figure! But I'm learning to grow from those experiences that challenge me most and see them as God's opportunity to teach me. I am 29 years old and love the frosting! I DO tend get lost on a regular basis, thanks mom & dad for the GPS! I love photography and have some fun pics of friends and the places I've set foot on - Macchu Picchu, Dominican Republic, Pike's Peak (14k+), UK, India, and Hawaii. I definitely believe in intelligent design.Mi Trabajo - Life here on a college campus is interesting to say the least. I know it's where I'm supposed to be (right now)! I couldn't make it without the supportive staff we have, there are some great people here at PUC! My Familia - the scoop is that I have an older brother, younger sister... and I love animals. Born and raised in Cali... and btw, west coast don't mean left coast. And I'm learning to love Michigan (again). I'm in love... and it is the trippiest thing ever. I've found my man and that's the end. No really, ha!
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

My Interests

Stinson Beach, UTAH, and MICHIGAN... hehe Music, Verbal Exploration, water (in any form), Sports, the Outdoors... and DEFINITELY good friends! I'll try just about anything once... EXCEPT skydiving... can I close my eyes Pookie?!?

I'd like to meet:

Jesus, Ruth & Boaz, Jonathan and David, pretty much the entire cast of the OT (no that's NOT a typo). Ralph Shine, Bono, Henry Nouwen, The cast of Friends, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Ghandi, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, the Incans, JFK, Mother Theresa, MLKjr....

Music:

mine...sometimes. myspace.com/shiningangels - check it out! Good stuff Vicki Beeching, worship leader from UK :) Love the new Hillsong. In general, I like just about anything. Old school like Creedence Clearwater. However, I was raised country - Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Anne Murray, Garth. Kris and I dig the Carpenters Xmas album! Gipsy Kings, Gloria Estefan, Nat Cole, U2 always, hmmmm Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald. Beethoven, ColdPlay, Sheryl Crow, Death Cab, Keane, Josh Groban. Also have to give props to my favs - Audio A, Newsboys, Copeland, Relient K, Switchfoot, Superchick, Watermark, PFR, The Kry, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, and for sure Tree 63 - I will play South Africa someday. REQUIREMENTS: (a) understand the lyrics and they compliment the melody, or (b) where the music itself is so overpowering it becomes a soundtrack for life, or (c) it is just FUN! Like the Gorillaz, Jack Johnson. John Mayer and Sheryl Crow.

Movies:

CRASH, Matrix, LOTR, A Lot Like Love - that's strike 2, Apollo 13, Warren Miller, Blue Crush - been there ;), Shyamalan, Historical Documentaries, ..... I'm kinda picky about these... no horror, no random sex scenes. Thanks to Isaac Johnson (PUC English dept), I love analyzing films for some teachable point. V for Vendetta is a must see!

Television:

Friends (thank you syndication), CBS Evening News (go Katie), What About Brian (what about him? where did he go?), the Jetsons... not much else.

Books:

"The Art of Love" by Eric Fromm. Brian McClaren's Generous Orthodoxy and Rob Bell's latest - SexGod. My all time fave is Victor Frankl "Man's Search for Meaning". Followed by anything Henri Nouwen or Eugene Petersen. Love to read just about anything, except wierd fiction or conspiracy stuff. "My Life" by Bill Clinton, "Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell. "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. I do Travel Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Business World, Kiplinger's, Outside, and a couple others...

Heroes:

Mom and Dad, Rob Bell, Mike Yaconelli, Kase, Mia Hamm, Jenn Garner (Crazy I know,)... People who have learned how to get up - in spite of the fear that they may fall back down again.
